I saw one on the road when they first came out. It even had the dealers paper plates on it. He didn't want to go as I tried to lure him to go. I don't blame him though since the car was brand spanking new. It isn't THAT bad looking but the interior is just fugly. I would never get one.

SS/SC - easy win unless you're a REALLY bad driver
SS/NA - more of a driver's race, slight advantage to the Si in weight, big advantage to the 2.4 in torque, could go either way unless the 2.4 is auto, that would even it out even more
2.2 - easy win for the Si unless THEY are a really bad driver

What I find funny is that it's on par with GM's 2.4 NA motor but yet it's "slow"........

SS/SC would definately win. I've seen them tested by C&D at 0-60 in 5.9 sec., and 1/4 mile at 14.1 @ 100 MPH. Unless you can't drive or the other guy is insane, you'll win.
A 2.4L SS with the 5-speed most likely wouldn't. The Civic Si can do sub-7sec. 0-60 second times, the 2.4 SS can't. The race would be very close in the quarter mile though, but I think the Civics power advantage (not to mention lower gearing) will win out.
