how well does a srt10 ram truck run?

may be a future potential war story lol. a guy at work just bought a dodge ram pickup
srt10 with the viper engine in it. 505hp i think he says. i know it would be heavy lol.
what about a 60 to 120 or 130 roll? he just found out about my cobalt. he says maybe
we can run in the spring. he ain't talking ****, he says he knows the turbo cobalts can
run. i think it would be close with me taking him. problem is we will have to wait till
spring.

I hear they fly just like airplanes do.

Had a arab #1 dealer say to me and my friend that the srt10 they had on the lot had rear headrest tv's "just like airplanes do"

Needless to say we got the **** out of there before he blew us up or something.

lol i love that video. They are sweet trucks. It should be a good race but i think you'll be able to take him. they are fast but not always easy to drive to their max potential. is it an extended cab or regular cab?

IIRC only the crew cab's like SRT10's are auto, So the one he would be racing is a standard cab! Ive driven one, Was a blast to launch but didnt feel like it was THAT quick.

Well it is an iron block. I think it weighs almost 1,000 lbs more than my 454 SS

The regular cabs can run anywhere from 13's to high 12's so be careful if he does have the driver mod.

im here im here...lol. If he is stock and its a reg cab (manual) he might take you. If its a qc (auto) you will take him. I had a 05 QC with intake, exhaust and tune...i test drove a RC which was stock and it was night and day difference, the thing was alot faster.

Also what year did he get, if its 06, tell him to check his cam timing. Half of the 06's that rolled out of the factory had the wrong cam timing and caused it to have 40-50hp less then previous years.

why not help him.. i dont get why people get so "up tight" about possibly losing a good race. hand credit where its due if he beats you, and help a buddy out to get more power if he's not aware of it..

I'm not saying "Be a dick and don't tell him that at all" but if the guy thinks his srt-10 will keep up to a tc the way it is then i say let him try and suggest checking the timing after the race.

indeed. Some of my best races at the strip were against a cobalt. We raced i think 5 times and each time it was all drivers race.

Cobalt_Daddy, ill be getting back the end of feb, i put in a memo to stay as long as possible but i doubt it will happen. Soon as i get back ill be install all the parts and turbo, then tuning. I'll be coming down to Halifax on my summer leave (around july) so ill give you a shout that. My evo will have as much power as my SRT-10 did

I ran one at the track, standard cab. He ran a 13.9 to my 14.3. He pulled me out of the hole, but i was gaining on him in the end, but didnt have enough room in the 1/4. by the 1/2 i would have had him.

Id still prefer a lightning over one though. and I hate fords, but I hate dodge more.
