Let me start off by saying I rarely ever street race, or race period. It's dumb, pointless, and I really don't care if my car is faster than some random person I'll probably never see again.
I was on my way home from cleaning out my parents barn after working a 9 hour shift last night, so I have been up for almost 24 hours. I'm on the interstate and a red 05-08 Mustang GT pulls up next to me, and as he goes by, he downshifts and gives his car a little gas. Now I owned an 04 Mustang GT before I bought the 'balt, and I knew the newer 'stangs were faster, so I have always been kinda curious how the 'balt would run with the S197. So anyway, now that he is ahead of me, I downshift to 4th and pass him back. As soon as I let off the gas, a Sheriff comes over the hill coming from the opposite direction with his lights on. I start laughing, and I look over at the Mustang's passenger and he is laughing. I think we both realized it was a sign so I went back to cruising and he drove off.
I think it was Gods way of telling me not to act like a ****** street racer kid haha.
