I maybe wrong about the engine model, I will admit the I may be mixed up since it has been 4 or 5 years since I've done significant research on GM motors, regardless, I still drive one on a weekly basis, and to say I don't have one is ignorant, since you don't really know. Anyways, I initially posted because someone thought LT motors were not so great, but actually they are pretty good street motor. Also, I never ever, ever wanted anyone like you to read anything I ever said on this thread. I was talking to someone else that thought maybe LS1's couldn't reach 12's with ease. Again, whether or not my car is an LT1 or an LS1, (which I'm starting to believe that I mixed the models up, and yes, I may have an LS1, regardless, that doesn't change the fact that the LT is a good motor, and it still doesn't change what the initial conversation was about) I still broke 12's. Instead of just correcting me, you have to insist that I am lying about driving a Vette. And since your being the largest ***** I've ever seen, I'll post pics of my car, with me in it, and then I'll start a new thread, and copy your ignorant responses to the thread, just so everyone can see that you were making a childish ass of yourself. Grow up.

And by the way, people out here in Tennessee don't use the manufacturers engine codes to distinguish the motors. We say-->"small block, 350, 5.7L, 6.0L, big block, etc" For instance, you tell a man you have GM small block 350..after the common redneck is done modifying the block, it really doesn't matter what specific model it is anymore. When we're done with them, a 5.7L is gonna make what a 5.7L engine should make, whether or not the motor has LT or LS stamped on the block. Around here we don't usually talk with engine codes, just size, cause that's all that matters. So 03EBZ06, stop bitchin about engine codes, who gives a rats ass if I was wrong here or there, point is, it's a 350, which means an LT 5.7L can make just as much power as a LS 5.7L. The LT1 was making more power in mid 90's than most V8 motors made in 2003.

Actually the LS1 isn't 350ci, it's 346ci. Sorry I had to be nit-picky!

I'm not going to argue with that but I really thought the motor in my car is actually a 349ci. Granted, that doesn't make me correct by any means. However, I'll continue to round the numbers as it sounds normal to say 350 small block.

the 01 Z05 made 385hp, the 02s and above were 405hp. you can tell as, the 405hp versions say "405hp" on the fender badge.

Since you are claiming you have LT1 2000 C5, you are either lying or completely cluess, my guess is both. I simply don't care whether you post pics or not. I have never met an auto enthusiast who didn't know what motor was in their car, never.
And since you bring it up..do you have a Vette? Something tells me you don't.
That's pretty funny coming from some one who doesn’t even know what motor his 2000 C5 has? What was it again? LT1...LMAO, you are too comical, clueless, but comical. What a joke.
My Vette is not the 400hp LS6, it's a 349.1hp, 350tq 2000 model. Not a Z06.
Hey genius, nobody mentioned Z06 so stop clouding the issue by throwing in another model, jackass. You wouldn't know what to do with a Z06, even if you had one. It's not like you would know the difference between LT1/LS1/LS6.
The 01 Z06 (which is the first year Z06 came out) makes 400hp. I THINK the later model C5's have a 6.0L.
OMG, you are getting even worse. The 2001 Z06 came with 385 bhp. The 2002 - 2004 Z06 has same LS6 motor as 2001 Z06 but came with 405 bhp, moron.
I maybe wrong about the engine model, I will admit the I may be mixed up since it has been 4 or 5 years since I've done significant research on GM motors, regardless, I still drive one on a weekly basis, and to say I don't have one is ignorant, since you don't really know.
BS, you are simply clueless, stop back tracking now.

You mean after owning for 6 years you finally think you MIGHT have LS1? All these time you thought you had LT1? Wow, what a *******.
Instead of just correcting me, you have to insist that I am lying about driving a Vette. Idiots like you make baby Jesus cry.

blah, blah, blah, more garbage spewing from the dumpster...

point is, it's a 350, which means an LT 5.7L can make just as much power as a LS 5.7L. The LT1 was making more power in mid 90's than most V8 motors made in 2003.
You are a cluess dolt, no other way to put it. Stock for stock LS1 puts out more HP than LT1, stop with this idiotic LT1 putting down same number as LS1. The LS1 > LT1, LS6> LT1, LT4 > LT1, 2003 Mach1 > LT1, 2003 SVT Cobra > LT1, the list goes on.
