brake boosting a car with a turbo as small as a KO4 is the stupidest thing I've heard of...The purpose of brake boosting is so there isn't any lag with a larger turbo from a roll on....KO4's don't have lag, and if you think they do you've never driven a car with a turbo worth a damn

When my TC was stock (242 whp\ 262 wtq)..... I put one car (dig to 90) on a Stg 2 SC (239 whp\244 wtq)..We were even till about 45 mph, after that I slowly walked............ Tq is 0-80 mph, above that it's all about hp...

Stock for stock it's pre-meditated suicide for a SC.

Tc can't drive. With your mods the advantage is til 80. Tc walks after.

here is an idea of a realistic equalish driver mod race.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcY3n8YN1ug

Anyway congratz on the bragging rights but dont expect them all to be that way.

get that H/E man. When summer hits our SCs get hot as hell. Keep in mind it is colder out so we dont lose as much HP. Summertime is a major bog. You will notice the power drop off due to heat soak around 80 mph.

you don't even need all that.

Actually, yes, he will need to rebuild for the TVS. And at that point I would easily bet on a loss for the stock LNF TC engine until the rebuild/turbo swap goes into the tc and its faster. This is how its been going for decades... one upsmanship...back n forth... love it.

Are we even comparing the same power plant at that point? lol Also, I can't see the m62 whining its way ahead of a hanh bolted and tuned tc, but I guess thats just my opinion. Around here stock sc's with just stage 2 are pulling TC's by 4+ cars...

He is being smart actually by rebuilding the engine and setting the foundation for the tvs. Then you need a proper tuner etc to tweak it just right. But hell, what do I know, go ahead and bolt up a tvs to a stock lsj, it's retarded, but go for it

Hands down the tc is the better car for me, having driven them both to their limits, and love em both. I am also not a roll racer or much into drag racing either. I like auto cross and track days etc and my tc feels like a different car through corners. No phantom clunking either... I like the handling upgrades and brakes of the tc much better than the sc and its way easier to launch (I dont use launch control).

I can see this debate raging on for a long time.. lol

1st: lol...yes magic stage 2s claim 260 whp

2nd: fixed / proven

on a side note im not bashing SS/SCs because i love BOTH cars. However misleading the community to believe ALL s2 SS/SCs will spank stock TCs by a bus (3+ cars) is a little....funny.

yeah one of the reasons i think i beat him to was because it was only 30 out when we raced that helped me alot but did nothing for him because his car will always make the same power no matter what

NJ on the race.

I kind of figured stage 1 + minor bolt ons would hold its own.
