killed a few Mazdas tonight

raced two of my friends tonight:

Mazdaspeed Protege (sedan, hardpipes, fmic, bov, wastegate modded 10 psi, some type of reflash)

went from 40 - ~110
I pulled a fender through the top of 2nd and extended it to about 3/4 car through the whole run

stock RX-8 M6

20 - ~80
started the roll and held even in first, began pulling through 2nd to put about a car on him, pulled another car by 3rd and held it

40 - ~110
immediately pulled about a car and ended up pulling away by about 3ish cars through 3rd

so, yeah, some pretty fun runs tonight

edit: stock SC btw

forgot to add that I also put two trucks and a nt dsm to shame

came up on them revving at a light and proceeded to calmly drive around them during their race

I was talking major mods not little piddly **** here and there lol.
Don't get me wrong I love rx7's, rx8's are more of a joke if you're going for the drag aspect of it, but in the end rotary FTL.
That said I'd take a TT rx7

A staged LSJ will still take it, given if you put some major money into the rx it'll be a nice ass car but when you can buy a 9k car and drop a stage kit on it why bother?
Do like them though and they're pretty rare so.

Meh honestly you're giving them too much credit lol. There's one I always see goin up the highway to school, nice car but for the cost and like you said maintenance it's not really good for anything but a weekender/autox'er.
Driver skill of respective cars depending, should be pretty even if it's a custom staged lsj.
I'm not intimidated at all unless they got some major mods unlike majority of em with intake and basic ****.
The exhausts on the RX7 as restrictive as all the other mazdas?

yes that's what i'm talking about lol. newer body styling, well it's about the only ones you see on the road, the rest are on the side of a road with a for sale sign in them .
They are about the only mazda i'd consider buying however, speed3 or 6 too maybe.
Used to have a Pro, solid car for sure they know their ****, except when it comes to exhausts

how are you guys doing against MS3's? my friends has one and im wondering where the SC and the TC would compare to it. He has intake, full turboback, catless. ( on a side not, it sounds like pure sex)
