whats funny about this is, that not everyone that have nice ass rides have the parents buy it. I know a kid who owns a nice ass 2000 or so m3 and he bought it himself when it was only like a yr old. he was just smart ass hell in highschool and has an extremely well paying job now because of it. .

Exactly.

Even if his parents bought his car, he was blessed with parents that love him enough and who can actually afford to do good for their children.

Oh like if your parents offered you a Mercedez, you would turn it down...right...

You can also pick up used Mercedes at very reasonable prices. Especially the previous gen C class. So maybe this kid bought himself a used Benz.

I bought it on my own, never was fortunate enough to have a parent that could afford to buy me a car or pay my insurance. Went from a 86 tbird to a 04 ranger to my 06 balt ss. I live at home and pay rent to help my mom pay for us. Had I been offered a STI I would jump all over it.

my dad has a an sl 600 and a cls 500 along with a 1990 jaguar and a chevy tahoe 2007

point being he has a lotta money and yet he didnt buy my car but i think thats important

since im paying for the balt i have a lot more respect for my ride. some people who get free

cars may not be total jerks but they definetly dont have the same respect for a car they had

to work for.

That's not necessarily true.

My dad gave me my first car, 1990 Cavalier. I had a great understanding of the responsibility as far as gas and paying the insurance, so just cause you get something for free doesn't mean you don't have respect for the people who gave it to you or you want have the same feeling of appreciation for something.

Yes, but not everyone is like the great black hope. lol...There are plenty of youngins out there that will take advantage of their parents kindness and run with it. Some parents don't know how to instill maturity in their own children hence throwin money at them because they think it will make their kids love em more. I bought my first car with 400 bucks that I made baggin groceries at the Commissary, I beat the hell out that car too. Sold it for 500. lol

Mercedes makes a couple 2 seat 'verts, the SLK and the SL. It may have been the earlier model SLK - the SLK230 with the same S/C 4 cyl as the C230. And yes it's still no match for an SS/SC. If it was an SL55 though (S/C 5.4L V8) then no way in hell he'd have caught it.

Both those models have "Kompressor" badges.

True and some aren't like that too.

Believe it or not, there are teenagers out there with some type of level of appreciation.

I will agree with that, I think it all stems from the parenting.

my dad gave me my first car. a 1991 ford thunderbird V-6. it was $1,250 i think. i was very grateful. since then i returned the favor on a larger scale and bought him a 2005 pt cruiser turbo.

i'm sure if we were better off financially when i was in highschool he would have sprung for something a little better. it dosent matter if your parents bought your first car. this is what happens most of the time.
i only make fun of the people who are 30 and still live at home
i do, however, question the thinking power of those parents who are buying 14 second cars (or lower) for 16-17 yr old kids. most times that will be a bad situation... either alot of tickets, or worse.

Jealous much?

And funny that the car costs the same as yours and he raped you.

People like you are sad. You want to race someone, he beats you and all of a sudden he's a douche? You don't even know the guy and you're making assumptions of his income, his family situation and how he got his car.

How old are you anyways cause you have some growing up to do.

x2 man.

It's freaking sad that people have to be jealous because someone has a nicer car then them. That attitude will never get you ahead in life and you will always be unhappy with yourself if you envy others.
