LNF vs. Big turbo STI/Supra/lsvtec
Well, with the weather cooling down dramatically here up in Canadia it was time to get some long awaited pulls in.
90% of these happened on the same night. First up? Single turbo Supra. Pushing a 6766 at 10psi so there plenty more power once he builds his internals. Until then he said he's making around 350whp.
3rd gear from about 80km/h he immediately jumps about a half a car due to brake boosting and the distance is kept up until around 220km/h where we both let off. Thumbs up back and forth.
Second run of the night was a 2012 sti with a gt3582r. Engine is completely forged and rebuilt due to the subi way of life.
About a 90km/h roll starting in 3rd for me and he underestimates me and doesn't break boost himself. My front bumper did not leave his door handle all the way to about 220-230 yet again. Same story as the Supra.
We did another run from 60km/h and he brake boosted and put about 2 cars on me. My first actual loss!! Can't be too upset at that loss, especially for the work done to his car.
3rd up? A 98 Acura EL with a built lsvtec swap. Pushing a pte6266 turbo.
I was out with a buddy of mine in his Lnf a few nights prior when we first saw this car. Thinking it was just a el with a fart can we blew off in his face and he cut in behind us. Mind you-- my friend has a "lol @ ur vtec" license plate frame... And a big turbo Honda is behind us. You can imagine how excited he's getting. I told my buddy to wait until he got in front of us to step on it, just to break his heart.
Little did we know -- he comes wide open spinning past us hitting limiter going into the next gear-- which he grinded. But he was gone like a bat out of hell
Skip to the day I'm beside him after him telling his whole crew cobalts are slow and scared to race. From 60km/h we both spin but peddle it slightly and grab traction before him, winding out 2nd gear to 6k rpm I feel my little k04 start to lose steam so into 3rd we go, a nice and clean shift. He's about a car length behind me at this point. I wind out 3rd and into 4th and he's not doing much better... 1-1.5 car lengths behind me. did a few more runs and beat him even worse.
No videos of the first two runs sadly as I was riding solo. There's a video of the el on my instagram
(On my phone not sure if that hotlinked or not)
I'm pretty impressed with my little stock turbo setup. Full boltons with a term2 tune and it put down 351whp/377lbft sae corrected.
