Thanks. Yeah a 40 mph roll is a weak spot for my A4. Anything from 20-29, 55-65, she downshifts and takes off pretty good. Still autos have that slight hesistation which gives a manual driver the advantage from a roll.

When my car was stock I pulled away from a S2000 without much trouble so for yall that raced a S2000 when yall were stock that can give yall an idea of how my lightly modded GTO might fare.

You will kill the Cobalt plain and simple
A well driven LS1 GTO can hit 13.5 with a trap speed around 105mph.
And by the way dump the TB bypass thing it does nothing.

On the LS1 GTO TB Bypass does help a little. It helps keep intake temps down for more consistency. It's so easy to do that any gain would be worth it.

Auto 5.7 GTO is a good match for a stockish cobalt. Auto 6.0 is a good match for a Stage 2+ boltons Cobalt. 6sp makes a BIG difference, so you are starting at a disadvantage. I can keep up with a modded 6.0 6sp, but i'm basically a full stage 3+ bolt-on car.
Oh, and whoever said a 60 roll is better, thats retarded on a stockish car. Race becomes a waiting game to see who backs off. I give a GTO a dig or 20 roll if I get a 40 roll, because even that is too high for a RWD car. I only do rolls right now due to lack of sticky tires. I'll be back doing digs only soon enough.
