M62 Redline vs. TVS Redline and MS3 (videos)
Went out and had a little fun in my "winter car" last night
It's the stock motor with Euth head from my 05 that I put into an 07. The TVS car is my old TVS. Needs a BRFPS so he can drop pulleys, and a little bit of driver mod since he isn't used to having a clutch that actually works lol. ALSO, he was running a bit rich last night. They switched blends this week and he filled up as we were going to race. AFR's went from mid low 11's to 10.5, so he will gain a good 10whp when we lean it out tonight. I'll post the updated vids, and we may even switch drivers for a race.
My car: Stock M62, 2.7", Euth head, 82# zzp springs with ZZP S2 cams, intake, zzp shorty header, zzp 2.5" catted dp, stock catback, 80's, E85. Rev to 7600
His car: TVS, 2.9", intake, vibrant header and zzp 3" dp (my old setup), Hahn 3" catback, 80's, E85. Rev to 7300.
Went from 40. It was nice out so we both hooked pretty well. Just to clarify, I am the camera car![Smile](https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I was impressed with my car. Being in his and knowing what the TVS can do, even on a 2.9 and stock head I thought he'd win, but I knew the extra rpms would help me. We will get it dialed in again for winter and run it out a little longer tonight.
Then I raced a friend's MS3. Pretty much just turbo-back exhaust. This is the one I raced in the Genesis, but that was when the MS3 was stock. By 115 I had a good 5 cars. He kept saying "yeah you had a solid 3 cars on me", so tonight I'm going to wear my "I got 5 on it" shirt and show him if he says it again![lol](https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

I've been telling everyone its bone stock, cause its quiet and you cant hear any lope, and you can barely smell the E85 through the catted exhaust
Trevor (owner of the silver car here) knows obviously, but didn't expect it to be that quick. I've been trying to sell him on a head and cams after the BRFPS...and this might have been the convincing factor lol

Lol thanks man, I do what I can.
Didn't get to re-run last night. We are going out of town this weekend so he decided to be responsible and pack and get things done before we leave. What did I do? Well I swapped struts, checked tire pressures, made sure the car was ready for the trip, (here is where the responsibility takes a **** lol), clean my car up, stay up late and go find something to race
.....needless to say I'll be posting a video of me vs. an LS2 GTO today lol

I have only ever reved to 8k at the track on the TVS. Other than that I leave it at 7600. The M62 still pulls up to 7600 with the head/cams too, which is nice. I have stock BS and no ATI so I didn't rev it way out unless I had to. Against the MS3 I shifted at 7200 because it wasn't really gonna matter lol
I was out of town all weekend lol, tonight and tomorrow night might be the last of the racing for the year. Weather looks like its going to **** after that. And I'll be in Denver all weekend starting Thursday.
