Me (SS/SC) vs 2003 Eclipse GTS

Both of our cars have only CAI in them.

We did a 40 roll and shut down at 85. I got him by 1 car by the end.

Did another roll but at 30 and we shut down at 85 again and I got him by a car and a half.

Very close races and I was expecting him to stay with me since with the CAI the eclipse have roughly 215 hp and us around 210 or so.

these cars dont put down 200whp, its at the crank..They rev to 6k and lay down 170's to the wheel lightly modded...Go to club3g forums and find out for yourself, I have a buddy with a GT so we've done much research together within the past year, they only have 9.2:1 compression so not much is going to be had with the car unless you go forced induction with it...

There is a guy here with a 3g Eclipse, and he told me that "the 2000 is the fastest year. All the other Eclipses are slow garbage."

Never said that these cars put down 200whp, I said they have with intake about 215 and 210 "HP", when someone says HP they mainly are talking at the crank, usually if they mean wheel hp, they say whp.....

I wasnt trying to be cocky by correcting you...sorry it sounded like it...further, your post said that you expected the eclipse to stay with you because it had 215 hp, so if you knew that it was crank hp why did you think that it should've kept up with you???

I was under the impression Cobalt SS/SC's usually do put down about 200 to the wheels because GM rated them at 5200 RPM (or somewhere close to that) when they redline at 6500 RPM.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but thats what i always thought.
