No, a new 5.0 will not "romp" all over a new SS. Sure it will beat it with equal drivers, but it will not be by more than a car or so. Do you realize that 7 car lengths is roughly 7 tenths of a second? With that said, you're claiming that with a tune and a couple bolt-ons, that your TC went from a stock 13.8 second/103 mph car, to not just a low 13 or high 12 car, but a whopping 7 tenths faster than a 13.0 2010 SS Camaro, meaning you are claiming to have a low 12 second car, meaning you claim to have picked up almost 2 seconds from your mods, lol. Wow man, really? You beat the driver of that SS fair and square. Once again, good run.

I've been drag racing on a track for ten years now. I'm telling you from experience, a car length at 100+ mph is roughly a tenth of a second on the big end. Considering these guys were roll racing, that old school estimate plays directly into this scenario considering they were already up to speed and taking the 60' out of the equation.
Once again.... he beat the driver by 7 lengths, not the car.

That is a damn accurate estimate. Its not "ricer math". Would you like to talk trap speeds instead, since we are talking roll races? Hell, I was trying to be generous by talking tenths instead of traps.... 7 car lengths over a car that traps 110 mph stock within the short distance that the OP ran this guy... do I really need to go there? You telling me that the OP is a +117-120 mph trapping car now? Cause thats what it would take to pull a car length every 10 mph like he is claiming.... or do trap speeds have nothing to do with it either, lol.

unless the driver was on foot, and then by definition not a driver, then yes he beat the car as well. you dont need to make excuses for the loser unless that loser was you. if you want to get into stupid **** like that then the underdog in any event shouldnt win. they always beat the players not the teams i guess. we could always go off stats alone and we wouldnt need to have any sporting events. just look at the numbers and call it good enough.

Either way its a good kill.. i mean they pay how much for the v6?? to me the point is.. The cobalt Smokes cars that cost double price most of the time .. either way we should give him thumbs up.. i mean we all drive cobalts why would u hate on them for smokin other cars.. i just dont get it... anyways.. GJ on kill even if it is a V6 or V8... V8 isnt all its cracked up to be... thats my 2cents...

the 5.0 had exhaust, and theres another one that has 373 gears he wants to run next tues night, i saw the car last night and it seems to pull alot harder then the blue one. so im thinking this one may get me or hes gonna at least pull on me at the beginning pretty good. and stone your a ******, im not a cobalt nuthugger, i just think its funny that a 25k cobalt with a 1k in mods can outrun v8s that people are paying 40-60k for...stop thinking so much about it and accept that i beat them, *******.

Question, where in any of my posts do I say you lost? I said over and again you beat the driver of that Camaro by 7 lengths. I never even once said you were slower than a stock Camaro, lol. I'll wait for you to quote where I said you lost...
Another question.. what $40-60k cars are you referring to?
Fyi, you can pick up a base 5.0 for $24k right now with the $6k rebate. SS Camaros can be driven off the lot for $35k, and thats without any incentives. I'm beginning to think you're 18-20 years old judging by your arguments.

I'm just going to say I have been beaten by a LNF cobalt and I have a 12 second camaro, It just depends on what the other person has in their car. Why is it such a big deal that he won?

My car at the time had only the K&N intake. . . I started in 3rd, he started in 4th, by the time we hit 100mph, he was GONE! I believe it %100 that you smoked that SS...especially an automatic 12-ton car...period...

You can't make that conclusion..a regular Tuned TC has 60HP+ on you...K&N means nothing. Tell ya what, have him time a run 60-100 roll in 3rd gear. Most tuned 300 WHP cars will do it in around 6.3 sec..GM1 tuned in 7.1 sec. BTW stock is 8.2 sec. He would have to be in the mid 4 sec range to beat that Camero (not driver) like he did.
