Me vs Friends 350awhp GT30r WRX

Well my friend Micah and I decided to go out and run because he finally got his car finished, before this he just had TBE and Cobb Stage2.

He added a ton of mods to his 2006 2.5l WRX, from a GT30r, CAI, TMIC, TVG deletes, etc, etc. Check his mods out here.

We ran on the freeway because we couldn't find any long, good side streets that were secluded and quiet.

We went from 40-120mph & twice from 60-120mph, both of us on pump gas.

  • First run, we went from 40-120mph, he was on 21psi and I was on 25psi. I pulled about 3-4 cars on him by the time I hit 120mph.

  • Second run, we went from 60-120mph, and same result. I pulled 3-4 cars on him fairly quickly.

  • Third run, we went from 60-120mph again, but this time I lowered my boost to 17psi and Micah was still running 21psi. This time we were door to door.

All in all it was really fun. I was surprised I pulled him so hard @ 25psi. Next time Ill get video of the madness!

That sounds like a good race. Sounds like he put a decent amount of work into his WRX. Gotta love that horizontal 4 burble. Good kills and good tie! + rep (can't because I need to spread it )

PS: Man, everytime I see your SRT-4, I want a white one.

HAHA!!!!! You had to handicap him and lowerer your boost to give him a chance, thats great. At least you let him stay close once so he doesnt think all his mods were for nothing

well considering your front wheel drive, and hes awd makes a big difference...I would like to see the outcome from a dig not a roll race...It makes alot of sense awd cars arent good at rolls...

True, but its 350AWHP, not 350bhp. Which is also a big diff.

He's good for a low 12s 1/4 mile here in UT. So at the track I'd still beat him, on the street from a dig, Im sure he'd eat me up

Its meant for street use, Mopar just has legal limitations to abide by.

My car passes emissions just fine... so do all the other Stage3 w/ toys cars in UT. I think its more dependant on STATES, which is why Mopar says that ya know

But thanks for the compliment bud!

Thanks... there is also a lot of mods on there that aren't even performance too though.

All in all I love my car (some days)

All they do here is hook up a port to my OBDII, then do safety inspections, such as test brakes, lights, seats, etc.

What exactly are the specs on the Mopar Stage 3 turbo? IIRC the cold side is a 50 trim, but what about the hot side?

Yea its raded at a TD05HR-15GK2 actually. But its capable of 400+whp with NO mods to the turbo and capable of 450+whp with a 50lb wheel and port work.

Im going to a 44lb wheel on my turbo by spring.
