Me Vs GT and S2k
Last night my friends and I met up and they wanted to race. My friend has a 08 Mustang GT with intake exhaust and a tune. My other friend has a not sure what year s2k with just a intake and im completely stock . Theres this deserted road that leads to a dead end that we went to. While getting to go line up my friend in the mustang gets next to me and we went from a 40 roll. I honestly thought he was going to kill me but it was the other way around. By the beginning of 4th i already had like 2 1/2 cars on him. So instead of lining up with the s2k I line up with the Gt from a dig. I also thought he was gonna kill me off the dig but i stayed right there with him through 1st and 2nd gear. Shifting into third I just started pulling and pulled to about 2 cars in front of him. I was so amazed at how much power this car has. After that we turn back around and the s2k still wants to race but from a dig. I didnt want to launch so i just let him launch and i took off normally then floored it. He had a car by 2nd but after that it was all done. By the middle of 4th I had at least 5 cars on him . I love my new car and its a huge upgrade from my old car a Tiburon v6(slow).

No. I looked at it and though about it. I decided I'm going to wait to see what engines they are going to put in them in the next year or two. I don't want it to be like my SS/SC..It's an 07..look at the 08 SS's. I do plan on either getting a new Stang or maybe a WS6 when I sale my Cobalt. Though a Termi is tempting.

And when my SS/TC was stock, my Mustang would pull many lengths from a dig, and like 2-3 from a 40 roll. Now that my SS/TC has an intake/tune, my SS/TC pulls about 4 cars on my Mustang.

There is a 2010 Red GT around here with 23 miles on it selling for 28k. And there are tons of 2009's selling for 24-25k. Although the Ecoboost will be a nice engine, I rather have the 5.0. Plus they are putting the Ecoboost in the new Taurus and Fusion I believe, plus AWD.

Performance wise they aren't much better than the 05-09 but interior and ride wise they are 100X better.

And yeah, I hope they put an Ecoboost (I4 or V6) in the Mustang, too. There were rumors of a ~300hp Ecoboost I4 "SVO" that weighed ~500lb less than the GT about a year ago. If that happened, I'd own one.
Oh, and a brand new '10 GTs for $24,995.

I could understand buying an '09 at firesale prices, but if you want the new bodystyle, why not wait for the 5.0?
Plus, even if you're thinking V6, the '11 may have ~275hp instead of 210hp... AND who knows what's going to happen with the EcoBoost options.
WAY too much up in the air to buy a '10 at this point.

Seriously, I can't imagine very many legitimate situations where buying a '10 would make sense.

Plus you can expect the 2011 with the new 5.0 to go up at least a few grand in price.
