It is Daimler Chrysler (DCX) motors.

All 3 of the SRT-8s are capable of mid to high 12s bone stock.

I have personally seen an SRT-8 Cherokee go 12.9 @ 10X (think it was 104) mph bone stock w/ the dealer plates still on it. It was actually trailored up to the track as well.

That just means it is quicker to 60, due to AWD. The Charger and 300C will have more topend. They are all capable of mid to high 12s.

In this particular test, the SRT Chrysler ran 60 in 4.8 and the quarter in 13.2. I think the Charger is a tad lighter than the C as well. (still a porker though!)

Hell yea that is, my school (Northwood Univ.) puts on an autoshow everyear and DaimlerChrysler sent down the entire SRT line with a Showcar and Prototype Technician. He said they underrated those engines by 45hp, theyre actually puttin down 470hp on a dyno. The JEEP was ******* fast. The Charger was incredible and even the SRT6 Crossfire was amazingly quick. I cant wait for next year because I'll be runnig the show and I'll be able to take one home for the nite, lol. They did a kick ass job. Id love to see the Trailblazer SS run it but I dont think it could shake a stick at the SRT8. I saw a Trailblazer SS today when I picked up my car from the dealer theyre pretty sweet looks wise though.

The difference between the Jeep and Chevy I think are similar to just about any SRT to SS comparison, in that the SRT is more about ***** to the walls performance with little regard to anything else, while the Chevy may not be as fast, but will genereally be more comfortable / practical as a daily driver.

yea, bcause anyone purchasing one of these vehicles cares about gas mileage. you're just trying to justify that you're car is slower than a fullsize suv by knocking on it's gas mileage. whoa there big man.

Daimler-Chrysler owns chrysler, jeep, and dodge. daimler chrysler is the resultant of chrylsers merger with mercedes benz. many of the parts on the new chryslers/jeeps/dodges are sourced from mb. the 300c, magnum, and charger all ride on mb architecture with american styling and engines.

i doubt they raced a full quarter mile. the jeeps awd is gonna give it massive grunt off the line to help keep up with the viper which is harder to launch with such a large amount of power and rwd. also, magazine numbers suck, you shouldn't even quote magazine times for real world comparisons. i've seen mustang gt's (which are supposed to be low 13 s cars) go high 14's, and i've seen an srt-8 gc do 12.9 so...

matt from tune time has a trailblazer ss, and trust me, it runs better than 14's. like mid-high 13's. and his is the awd one, the rwd one probably runs a little better.

Have you been in any SRT vehicles, other then an SRT-4??? I can't comment on the SRT-10, but the SRT-6 and SRT-8s come with AWESOME and very comfortable interiors.

I think you misunderstand me. I didn't mention anything about the interiors of either car...I mean more along the lines of a comfortable ride, versatility, etc... i.e. The GTO gets better reviews on ride and cruising comfort than the SRT-8 Charger, the Cobalt gets better marks than the Neon in the same department, the Trailblazer SS can tow stuff, the Jeep can't, and so on. Nothing against SRT at all, I just think they're aiming at a slightly different crowd than the SS vehicles are. Hence the reason I got a Cobalt. I like the Neon, but the Cobalt, inho, is quieter, and more comfortable to drive every day than the Neon. I want a quick car, but I don't need the fastest on my block.

I understood you. What review said the GTO had a better ride and cruising comfort, eventhough the GTO isn't an SS or even a Chevy??? Interiors are part of ride comfort. I agree about the Cobalt and Neon SRT-4. But comparing the Impala SS to the Charger/300c SRT-8, the SRT-8s are greater in every way. And I am willing to bet the Jeep is a lot nicer all around compared to the Trailblazer SS. Ram SRT-10>Silverado SS, Viper SRT-10> no SS, Crossfire SRT-6> no SS, SRT-8s> Impala SS and Trailblazer SS. Neon SRT-4/= Cobalt SS/SC.
