I dint know there was dyno sheet posted in the op. so know your guessing whp and just because someone says they have a pullied cobra does not mean **** unless its tuned good. I have heard of cobras blowing up with aftermarket exhaust because they were not tuned for it

The OP's #'s are in his sig, go back and read. And also, from what the OP wrote in his original post, the Cobra was pullied, had i/h/e and was tuned.

IDK. But no one believes that I can stay with my dad's Viper for a while. I need to get a video. It pulls 2 cars to 110 or so. There is almost 1000 pounds weight differece between a terminator cobra and a TC though. That can really help a 300 whp car stick with a 400+ whp car for a while. Just my thoughts anyway.

Here is a good video. Silver SRT4 is 395 whp vs orange cobra (pullied ported blower tune boltons 540 whp) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCcZ2Q5tQU8

Just goes to show what being a lot lighter weight can do.

What the hell does owning a Ford have to do with it? Its called knowing about cars and what they can do.

A pullied Cobra is still going to run strong as **** with out a tune. It might not be good on the motor but its still gonna rip ****.

I highly doubt you have heard of Cobras "blowing up" because of an exhaust with out a tune because I will tell you that has NEVER happened.

MOST of us seem to realize that under normal conditions a pullied Terminator would **** all over ANY stock turbo Cobalt SS from a dig or roll, any speed, both without weight reduction.

It's just reality. The Cobra will pull so much harder it's not even comparable.

BUT... I guess to play fairly I'll toss in also that it is POSSIBLE on the street that the guy driving it had no *****, was ******* around, just bought the car and had bald tires and spun the entire run..... and so the OP is in fact telling the truth of the matter but not aware of all the details.

IF the OP kept up that well, something or several things were going horribly wrong for the Cobra.

Umm, honestly, I believe the Cobra only weighs in around 3300lbs or so. So that really is only like a 300-400lb difference, not this 1000 that you speak of.

no corbas are like 3700-3800lbs, but that vid doesnt make sense the gto and corba should have raped on the dig race.

Where did you see the pullied cobra run high 13's? i have some doubt you've ever even been to the track. Where'd you hear of a cobra with exhaust "blowing up"? probably at the track right? a STOCK cobra would pull more than that much in a single gear. you don't need to be a good driver at this point. If you gave me a pullied cobra with a canned tune and minor supporting bolt ons and i had to race this cobalt, i could launch in 2nd and short shift to third STILL pulling hard on the cobalt. You are underestimating how fast bolt on cobras are because you are a fanboy.

no. 3600-3700 lbs.

Here is a reality check for all of you, just to make things a little clear. STOCK 03-04 cobras make damn near 400rwhp. With just exhaust most will break that mark. With a CANNED tune and a 2.8" upper (which is what most terminator owners buy) along with exhaust and an intake will make well into the 400rwhp range, usually around 440rwhp. You are talking about a car that makes over 150rwhp MORE than the cobalt weighing just about 600 MAYBE 700 lbs more. Basically, this race should turn out the same way a race against a bolt on c5 z06 would.

I take it most websites dont know how much stock Cobras weigh? I checked 3 different websites, and the weight for an 03/04 Cobra Coupe ranged from 3300-3400, all being in-between those #'s, so that is where I got my info from. Would like to see where you got yours, that away I know where to check next time.

you're right you guys should get rid of all of us other car owners so you can change the name from war stories to fairy tale island. You guys can keep up with cars that will trap in the 120's no problem.
