The 08 R32 only came with the dsg auto trans not manual so no missed shift. They are slow but the new Golf R is a completely different story. We have had a few R32 supercharged come thru work and they are mean.

I agree, i used to have a fully bolted and tuned 2003 vw gti 1.8T and that car was unbelieveable, but it was also lightweight as hell. I literally removed all interior pieces except driverrs seat and dash components(was single at the time so i didnt care about passengers lol) the only car that beat me in that thing was an evo9 with mods out the ass haha kinda disappointed in vw for making their cars so much heavier now. If they wwere as light as they used to be, they would be pretty good stock with these new motors

I consider both of those R32s. Based on his story about destroying one, Id have guessed the german variety.

I raced an R32 with my cobalt SS when it was stock. I pulled away from him up to 120mph. Its concievable that a SS/SC could do the same.

Congrats thats what happens when technology evolves but that dont change the fact that the skyline was awesome as **** during its day and its still cooler then most sport coupe being made nowadays.

I raced one from a roll when I was stock and we were neck and neckthe whole time

QUOTE=jHarris8822;6830433]Ok, first off sorry i dont have a vid, the race just happened. But anyways on to the good stuff

So im driving home from morning errands, and get on the highway like normal. Im cruising at 70 and this R32 comes up beside me and just starts the 3 honks and i throw it into 3rd, then (surprising as hell to me) i leave him like its nothing. Dont know the guy or the car, but mine only has injen CAI, cat back, stage 2clutch, and some minor weight reduction. I expected to get raped since his is AWD and stock 250hp.maybe my cars faster than i thought? Lol[/QUOTE]

This.

The AWD driver sucks up a lot of power to the ground. Thus why "most" AWD cars are slower from a roll race.
