An auto S197 is a 13.7-13.8 1/4 mile car. The 5spds average about the same, unless the driver is pretty good, than they're 13.4-13.5 second cars. The fastest stock one ever ran a 13.14 in the 1/4 mile, and there have been numerous to run in the 13.3's stock. From a roll you might have a chance, but I doubt it, but its your best bet. From a roll and dig my 05 Mustang GT beats my SS/TC, from a dig, easily, from a roll, not as much. Good luck, and let us know what happens.

So you're comparing your heavily modded SS/SC to a stock Mustang GT? Yeah you have a 4 cylinder compared to a v8, but the SC makes up the difference and you are far from stock. I'll admit every stock GT before 2005, you would most likely beat, but the new ones are a different story. From a roll, you could probably beat one, but from a dig, you are gonna lose, especially if the person can drive.

Well if its an auto than you still might have a chance, but if you race a 5spd with a decent driver, you will probably lose. Like I said before, with a decent driver in a 5spd, they are 13.5-13.6 second cars stock. There have been many to run 13.3 stock, and a few to run in the 13.1-13.2 range. With just an intake and tune they respond very very well, kinda like the SS/TC's do, they put down about 300rwhp and 320rwtq with just intake and a tune.
