My New Car VS a 2007 SS/SC balt :)
Well i just picked my self up a new car after i returned my balt back to stock.
bought a
91 Civic hatch. With a b18a1 in it. Full exhaust and an intake.
My friend has a 07 cobalt SS/SC with a cat back.
Were racing tommorow for ***** and giggles. I think it will be close..and i have a few friends who think it will be too. One that had LS/SC balt.
CALL IT! Who is taking this one..Its going to happen tommorow.
Were doing one roll race(i think i have a amazing advantage hear..)
and one from a dig.

The b18b1 is the low end integra motor from 94 to 01 142bhp
The b18c1 is the gsr motor from 94 to 01 170bhp
The b18c5 is the type r motor from 94 to 01 195bhp
I don't thin you'll be able to pull of a win against the ss sc but if he can't drive who knows haha
If you had a b18c1 or c5 you would win tho.

Should be close, I raced my cousins '97 integra gsr with intake, header, cat-back exhaust, and short throw VS my ss/sc with only cai. we were right next to each other. Its a drivers race.

B18a and b's dont make that much power(mostly hype). You have a 140ish bhp engine vs a 210+whp engine. A car thats 2500lb's vs 2900lbs. I know for a fact it takes more power then that to beat the cobalt.

Ignorant fool
they have more torque than the vtec variants, and throw a little boost on there, and you have a monster engine
yeah the intake manifold is very restrictive on the ls engines

Also any properly boosted motor will make power. I just think they are overrated in the honda community. That and I honestly believe because of how cheap the parts are, the honesty/integrity of the honda community is ****.
