My brother has a b16a swapped ef hatch that I would like to boost.
You do know "concur" means you agree right? You just agreed that sohc's suck ass, then talked about how if you want cheap power you want sohc and turbo...?

Lol, whatever. Haha, as for the Lsvtec with no internals. Tell your cousin to plan for a blown up engine.

Um, at least this kid built it right. At least for power he did. I would much rather build a DOHC Vtec but still pretty impressive for a SOHC motor.

yeah. you need to give props where they are due. for that dinky motor to keep up with a tuned ss/tc making those numbers; thats pretty damn impressive and it doesnt look ricer or anything either. good race all around.

I planning a turbo B20/V in my EG hatch.
You have to consider mine only weighs around 1900lbs. It takes a lot less power to move.

Since when does haveing a unbuilt LS/VTEC mean its going to blow up? stupidest thing I heard today.

thank you. so much dissing between cars its so funny. unless u dont drive a damn viper. or zr1 or lambo etc. ull always have people talk down on other peoples cars. just like srt4 owners talk **** about cobalt owners and same from us to them at times etc. i mean i like srts too and hondas. owned a few my self. and we are about to boost a sohc ef sedan for the hell of it to have fun and learn with it. since its cheap and good to learn on etc.

I just find it ridiculous that sport compact owners hate on each other so much. most of these cars are pretty damn crappy. They all have their high and low points.

I used to have a hatch with the b7 in it that I had planted a 14b onto and boosted 10psi. Sadly it was untuned but it still went decently. It was written off before I had a chance to take it down the strip but with a good launch I would've net low 14's at 10psi.

Edit: Tell your buddy if he has the z6 under his hood with good compression and still healthy to push to around 225whp or like 11ish psi. Make sure to tune it well then. No room for error, the z6 has a stronger bottom end than the b7. Stronger rods ftw.
I'm pretty sure this guy is pushing more than 180whp if it kept pace with a 290+whp SS/TC

I'm not dissing any cars here. I was actually was going to build an LSV for myself. An LS is only meant to be spun to 7,000 Rpm. Whereas when you swap the vtec head on you need it to be spun to 8,000+ I am just going to quit replying to this thread because it seems like you all think I am the newb and don't know **** all.

Ive seen people just do rod bolts and succesuflly rev to 8K. really all depends. I dont plan on revving much past 8100 or so, and am as built as you can get on the bottom end minus sleeves.
