My SS vs. all....

Well, I've done my fair share of racing in the 2months ive had my baby, so I'm going to share some of the good ones.

SS vs SRT4 #1: Went from 70mph... he inched on me until he hit 4th gear, then I walked about a car length head of him to about 110, he never started pulling back.

SRT4 #2: Raced at a light.... I totally smoked it... slowed down to talk to the guy, turns out he hit something and mangled his IC pipes... oh well.

SRT4 #3: 40mph roll... inched away about 2 car lengths up to 90... he never pulled on me.

SRT4 #4: (my favorite) Stage 1 Rolling from about 80mph... DEAD EVEN till 120.... but I had 4 people in my car

G35 #1: 90mph roll... pulled about 3 cars to 130...

G35 #2: 70mph roll... pulled about 1 car to 100...

C5 vette: 55mph roll.... lost by about 4 cars to 80... go figure

LS1 Z28: 50 mph roll, lost 1 car to 80...

Stroked fox body: Raced from a stop to 100... lost about 3 cars, but I was reelin his ass in by 70 mph.

SVT Focus(modded): Launched bad, focus had me till about 65... then I put about 3 cars on him by 75 =)

89 Ninja 600R(modded): Rolled from 70mph... just barely inched away from him.

03 CBR600RR modded: Went from about 80mph.... he had about 15 car lenghts on me by like 90mph. Its fun watching something just FLY away from you at interstate speeds...

89 CRX (B16 powa): Raced my buddy many a time... its the same story every time... down low, he smokes me, up high, I pull away from him. From a dead stop... I catch up with him and pass at about 110mph. Good stuff.

02 Roush stage one 'stang: Guy starts laughing at me... he had 3 people in his car, I had 2 in mine. Went from a 5-10 mph roll... I straight walked away from his ass. About 2 cars to 70. Pulls back up to me, all the passengers were laughing at the driver. Good times... bhahahhaa

95 Cobra: Pulled about 4 cars 45-85... i was dissapointed honestly...

96 Cobra: A little better,I only pulled about 2 cars 20-70.

Boosted Corolla: Dead even 40-120... with 4 people in my car.

I think that about covers it... theres alot more... but honestly nothing else worth mentioning. BTW, I know Im going to get flamed for alot of this, prolly with DUDE you dont beat SRT4s blah blah... I don't know if Ive got a freak, but what I posted above is the simple truth, no ifs ands or buts. Notice what my favorite MPH range is for racing though....

Yeah, I do have doubts about you beating every srt4 race but oh well.

Keep the racing at the track

Riiiiiight. I smell lots of BS here.

"SRT4 #3: 40mph roll... inched away about 2 car lengths up to 90... he never pulled on me"
So you "inched" 2 car lenghts in a 50 mph sprint. Only way that is possible is if he was in top gear and you were in 2nd when you guys started.

"G35 #1: 90mph roll... pulled about 3 cars to 130."
Again, 3 car lengths in only a 40mph sprint?? I think he was in top gear when you ran.

"G35 #2: 70mph roll... pulled about 1 car to 100..."
This is at least somewhat believable, but I just don't see you walking a G35 from a roll.

"SVT Focus(modded): Launched bad, focus had me till about 65... then I put about 3 cars on him by 75 =)"
So you gained 3+ cars in a 10mph span. Congratultions, you won performing the "flyby", after he shut down.

"Notice what my favorite MPH range is for racing though"
Umm, so what is it? You raced from just about every mph on your speedo.

Not trying to be a dick, but some of this just sounds so far fetched. It's like you have a warp speed button you hit to gain the distance you do on some of these cars that are more powerful than yours, in the time span you say you gained them.

I am calling bullshit on most of these. Do you have any proof. How about investing in a digital cam that can do video, this way you can back up your words.

!@#$ there sure is a lot of hatin for our fellow brother here. Why is it when anybody puts down there posts on the cars they've beaten that some guys just can't believe it and call bs right away? Who cares if he didn't give up the correct wording, didn't have all the details spelled out for you in his post or it doesn't quite add up, !@#$ does anyone really pay 100% attention to all that's going on in a race or end up giving the exact details of every race.....uh, no. Otherwise the guy would be writing a novel. Don't know about you guys, but I'm mostly concentrating on my own driving and paying not as much attention to the guy I'm racing until near the end or you run out of room to drive. Anyway...I say nice kills to my fellow SS brutha.

Thumbs up

i may believe some of those wins but buy those car lengths you sure you were not looking thru you mirror. "objects are closer than they appear" lol good races thoe

I win alot but i lose alot also stupid civics with no interior hondata ecu's H22/B18/KA20 with n20 or turbos! and that mazda speed protege pushing 18 Psi custom built engine pushing 400+ hp

I have better chances with stangs srt-4's wrx's and evo's then the typical civic in delaware

I agree that there appears to be some distances etc. that don't line up with the others. However a CRX swapped and set up correctly can be insanely fast.

Not sure..he didn't post times. But a 1989 CRX weighs less than 2000 lbs and with a B16 swap, some boltons and decent suspension/tires....he should be in the mid 13's. Just my guess though.

Edit: Well, don't I feel dumb as hell. The post does say SS vs all but his profile lists an 89 CRX with a B16 swap. I think he's bullshitting on more than one front.

More than anything else....

Reeling a stroked Fox body... you were reeling because he wasn't racing anymore.

Read his profile Mr. Wannago....it lists a swapped CRX, which if tuned right, that "yawnduh" would kick some hillbilly Cobalt ass. You'd think if some guy joined a cobalt forum after pulling away from a good list of cars, you'd at least set up your account to show your new "kick ass Cobalt" in your profile. While I recognize (but don't appreciate) your dislike for Honda products, I feel the same about a lot of cars, American and imports. If needed I'm sure I could dream up some cutesy, name for some of them, like you have. Hope you enjoy your Mopar when it has 100,000 miles on it.

I don't know why it's even an argument. Even in the post body, he says "SS vs...."
So he has a CRX in his profile. Big deal. He clearly states he was using his SS.
Besides, he's probably some troll messing with all of you.

Agreed......he's probably 14 and sneaking time on his mom's pc to check **** and spoof the car websites. And I'm not sure who's cars had headlights catching fire.

Again- read his post NOT his profile. As already clarified, he said he was driving his Cobalt SS.

Obviously a jap-scrap owner eh? There are already tons of "cutesy" names for the SRT (after all, it IS still a neon). Oh, please tell me - what is going to happen to my car by the time it has 100,000 miles on it?

I have owned a Honda in the past. Very good car. If I was looking for a well-made, quality, reliable car, I would definitely consider another Honda (or Nissan, Toyota,etc.).

The fact is, I bought my SRT for the performance aspect of the car (AND partly because I feel that owning a kick-ass NEON is pretty cool). I could have bought a much more expensive car, but didn't want to take on big car payments. To me, MOPAR has a stigma to it - it just seems to epitomize in-your-face street performance. Mopar powered cars made history in the 60's and 70's and the new Mopars (SRT's) are doing it again now.

When I hear Honda, I think reliability and quality - definitely NOT performance. Yes I know about their racing teams, but the name / brand / vehicles are far from "exciting" - at least in my humble opinion.
