my stage2 ss/sc vs v6 tiburon
Buddy of mine has a 03 tiburon but moved out of town before i got my ss. i let him know i had when i got it. im driving home after work one night and he sees me so starts following me before i realize its him and starts passing me as i was just chillin in third gear.. he just takes off, by the time i catch up we are going like 60 in a 30 so i just back off..
he slows down and we roll down windows to talk he was heading to the casino, we talk about **** for a bit before i suggest a 30 roll as we exit town on the highway.. so i put it in second, we honk it off, and not surprisingly I surge past him immediately and he doesn't come near to catching up. He just let off after he realized he wasn't gonna catch up.
this was my face afterwords
he wanted to race from a stop but we never did, i know he is more experienced with a manual so it probably would have been closer
he left town and is working construction for like $35 per hour and promises next time we race he will be in a 370z or genesis coupe so that should be interesting.

I had a tiburon (2000) fx edition It ran a 15.4 quarter mile. I thought it was an awesome car and I still do. Those Beta motors were champs! Beta 2 sucks now though. Its that crappy motor they put in the elantras.
The gear ratio on the older tiburons is increbibly short. Its like a 6 speed without 6th gear, lol. Youd be at 4000rpm going 70mph.
In my cobalt SS, 70mph is like just south a 3grand.

www.tiburonrd.com
sites down now but it was the **** and my first car forum Actually I think Sharkracing.com had a forum started for a while.
Cudajoe was the name tag then too. had a 1 in 500 body kit production number by Cuda Design. They now make that kit for the newer tirubons and call it C2 and C3.
