New Civic SI
So i was on my way to work this morning listening to some oakenfold when i notice some shiny new lights in my rear view mirror getting onto the freeway. I was just cruisin enjoying the morning air and nearly none existant traffic and as a black z3 changed lanes, i noticed an H logo coming up fast. As it got closer I saw it, the SI logo on the grill and thought this has to be an older model with the logo added. The car pull passed me and I new instantely that it was the new SI. I thought hm it's a nice looking car and just kept driving.
The civic then slowed it's rate of travel and started to pace me. After looking in every direction to check for the guy in blue i dropped it into 4th and checked my speed, a steady 63 mph. The civic heard my engine rev up a bit from my downshift and must have thought that I was goin for it so he downshifted and darted forward. I slammed the gas but forgot that i was still in 4th and the civic was pulling. I realized the error and shifted to 3rd as the civic was at my front end and that was it, it was all over. As if the theme song from the intro in gt4 was playing in the background, and time was in slow motion, I pulled on him. It was in my opinion bad. By the end of 3rd I had reduced his lead to my back end and going into 4th was even worse as I pulled car lengths away from the SI. Since I could see the entire civic and a large space of road between us in my rear view I discontinued going any further and the SI knowing of its loss got into the hov and just slowed down as I slowed down to get onto my exit.

The RSX-S lost in all but 2 performance categories..(one of which isn't really much of a performance category)...of course it madeup some ground in the "subjective ratings"...though it is interesting to me how the RSX was out-braked pretty badly and still scored a max rating on their subjective ratings for braking...

One really funny thing...at least to me, is that in their 5 car round-up they placed the Acura RSX ahead of the cobalt (and everything else) as the first place car...then when they did a comparison of these 2 cars head-2-head, the Cobalt took the win.
So the acura is better when there are more cars in the mix...I guess...(?)

My only complaint is that whoever owned it before him put a fart can on it. Pretty embarassing when you take off at a light next to a Charger, GTO, Vette, etc...

have you guys ever driven a si before (i mean the o6) b/c yes they are slower than the cobalt ss/sc in the straight lines but in autocroses they do better times than the cobalt the quality on those car are a lot better weights less than the ss/sc and did i mention the 8k rpms and yet cost less than the ss/sc which you can use the difference to buy a turbo or sc and yes is a honda
My girdfriend has one and i drive a cobalt ss/sc i love my car but i enjoy driving her as well

ummmm last i checked they costed more than an SS/SC and I really doubt they are faster in autocrosses, its the driver of the SS/SC sucking if so... Torque is key in acceleration which is what is needed in autocrosses, and the SI DOESNT HAVE IT. As well as the SS's LSD.... i think the SI is around 23,000 i got my ss for 21

where did you come across this information about the si beating an ss on the turns? a bunch of us ss drivers are about to see the grand am cup race tomorrow and out of alot of much higher quality faster and quicker cars than the si, the ss is currently in first place for the season

we are comparing stock versus stock and you got to remember the ss has been out for two years and si (06) not even 6 months just wait
but anyway i still like my ss/sc but the si has better quality, i invite you to drive one and you will understand what im taking about
