I drove one as well. It was pretty quick and had hardly any lag at all. The car was more than happy to rev, and that 6-spd gear box was ten times smoother than our 5-spd is. I thought the SS was a hair faster, but the powerbands between the cars very different feeling because of the way the boost is made. I think APR or another vw tuner made 350whp and 350+trq with an upgraded turbo on it, so be on the look out folks.

^ you know theres a difference between a rabbit and a gti, right? btw, most of the gti's i see are the 2.5l 5 cyl engines that are not really performance oriented. the 2.0t are quite nice though.

the car was running fine...i put a new engine in it and ****.. then at 156 miles on the new engine the timing belt broke because of a bad stud on the tensioner..then today (400 miles) the car wont start...i think its a cam sensor
