The V6/GT seats are most definitely crap... but the Bullitt/Mach seats are much, much better than the V6/GT seats and are quite similar to the 03/04 Cobra seats. Either way, I couldn't possibly care less about a fancy interior. When I see a nice interior in a performance car, I think "added weight". That's not to say I don't appreciate a comfortable, well-sorted interior, but it's far from a priority for most performance-car buyers.

So I take it your a shitty GTO driver since most of the owners are 50? Do you have timeslips that compare to the 12.70's you claim? I thought these cars had there hads full with stock and bolt on machs and lets not even talk about terminators. Was the best time on the stock tires or radials?

Sorry noob but a 2004 GTO is a drivers race vs Mach1, and this is straight from a Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords article. And we all know who drives for those guys right so it was equal drivers in both cars.

The whole Mach1 = LS1 is a internet joke inspired by Mustang fanboys.

Think about it a LS1 F-Body is quicker than a LS1 GTO and a LS1 GTO equals a Mach1.

And by the way LS2 GTO = 03/04 Cobra on the street.

Both are around 3700lbs one has 350whp the other has 370whp. If you think 20whp will dominate a street race your silly. The GTO also has the gearing advantage too.

I agree with the statement, but the Cobras have 3:55 gearing and the GTO's have 3:42...that would give the gearing advantage to the cobra...not vice versa. Am I missing a different gearing option the GTO's have?

A cobra weighs 3600lb and 370rwhp is on the lower side of the cobra stock dyno numbers. A stock cobra has trapped as high as 113 with 111-112 being the norm. Even people off ls1tech say machs are equal to a stock fbody. First you say that your car can keep up with GT500's now it can only keep up with cobras maybe tommorow it will only be SN197 Mustang GT's.

I own a GTO, and have the best time over on LS2GTO.com for a stock 05-06. Which is not a 12.7, it is a 12.8

The 03-04 Cobra is still slightly faster stock, and the Cobra has the gearing advantage 3.55 in the Cobra vs 3.46 in the GTO.

I don't think the codemister is arguing that the cobra cuts better times than the GTO on the track. He clearly states on the street...which on the street... a .2 QM difference is not that big of a deal...you could get on the throttle a little late and there goes that.

Cobra faster stock...a little.

But I have to agree with cody, based on numbers, on the street...they really aren't that far off...VERY easily a drivers race.

Just my 2 cents though guys.

A- Cobra 3600

Anyone who drives a LS1 F-Body and let's a Mach1 stay even needs to sell there car. Not onlt did I mash 2 Mach1's in my LS1's I also beat the same Mach1's three years later in my GTO. Which is just a little quicker than a LS1 F-Body.

I know the Mach1 is a close competitor but more so for a LS1 GTO than LS1 F-Body. When even a Ford magazine that every Mustang fanboy reads agrees I think I am closer to right.

Maybe if you took a 2004 Mach1 out and raced a 1998 Z28 with 2.73's you might come up even.

cody last time that article was brought up i believe it was 2.4ss/sc who kept insisting that a mach one could NEVER run low 13's, then he used that article to prove it and what do they say in that article? Last time they tested it, the mach 1 ran a 13.2@105.

No pal,around here they are $36-$37k,I ******* looked at one thinking they might be low 30s but they ain't,not at this dealership.Goddamn loaded regular GTs are $29k here.So no,I didn't pull the price out of my ass.Maybe the dealership sucks.IDK.

from a roll i would somewhat agree or from a dig that goes to 110+, but in the 1/4 both with great drivers it will be a pretty close race.

It doesnt matter what I drive. I asked you in the other thread if you could provide your timeslips to verify that your GTO is a 110mph car Your Fbody is a 108mph car, and who the **** cars whose LS1 GTO is a 107mph car. Evan Smith drove the LS1 Fbody to a 12.9 in stock form while Paul from PHP drove a stock Mach to a 12.9 as well. Dang two of the best drivers in the auto industry and they got the same ******* time for both cars. Who would of thought?
