ummm he wan't racing or he would have crushed you! 500hp, 516tq, 0-60 in under 5seconds... my guess is he wasn't racing until closer to the end.

Very true, but I also have a 2.4 and have toyed with a buddy's dad's Cayenne Turbo and there was just no way, then again I have no mods and am auto... so maybe I should just drink a warm glass of shut the **** up... but I call bs here. Plus you never really can tell if someone else is fully racing you on the street... cause they shouldn't be

I'm not saying your wrong or anything like that. It looks like you didn't notice he's in an 09 SS/TC. Or did you see that?

yea but you also have a 16 second car. cayennes run mid 13's i think, so i say it's pretty feasible for a ss/tc to be close, especially from a stop if the op is a good driver and the porsche is not. when you have over 500/500 to mess around with, there's a little more to launching than just mashing the gas.

no, I completely agree... I stated that before I know the op had a TC... in that case then yes, he probably could have hung with him for a bit.

Yeah, I have a TC.

We were def racing...I need to get my 3rd gear no lift shift down. 1-2 I have been doing fine, but 3rd gear is a problem for me.

At any rate, he jumped off from the beg and I was about a half car down...then I get right next to him after the 2nd gear shift and then got out of it once I missed 3rd.

He had the pissiest look on his face...LOL

It helps that I de-badged my car, so I have a feeling his expectations were high for a complete blow out.

with awd and a tiptronic tranny?

this car runs mid-low 13's @106-107ish...

he should have blown you out of the water. Are you sure it was the turbo?

Yes, I was behind him in traffic at one point, it was badged Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Trust me, I know my automobiles, it had the Brembo brakes and everything...

Also, you do realize that SS/TC traps 105 in the 1/4 mile?

i've seen 102...103 at most...where have you seen 105? 105 might be possible in mine shaft conditions, but in a similar situation a turbo could probably trap 109. All im saying is you raced a car that can pull out of the hole better than you in every way from a dig and realistically he should take you from a roll. I'm just saying don't expect those kind of results all the time.

After driving an 09 around for a couple days, I can believe it.. I had the reverse done to me the other night. Some kid in a ricer looking hatch comes within a half car of me, up top too.... thats the biggest fight I ve had with vtak in a while. I spoke to the kid and he had an h22 swap, cams, full exhaust hondata etc and was very suprised he lost. Total sleeper car, kind of like the TC sedan....

Cayman S times are there at least. Not sure, but with the right launch, its totally possible. Keep in mind this is the street , most likely the porsche didnt hook.

I know...AWD doesn't make you immune to wheel spin.Ive raced plenty awd who have spooled up on the launch, no traction control,. Just throwing out the possibility the conditions/driver could have played a role, it is the street after all

a 5200 lb suv with awd is gonna have a real tough time spinning any wheels, especially with an automatic transmission. driver does play a factor, but that kind of situation is really tough to screw up.

awd with probably similar torque being put down at launch and way less weight. if a 5200 lb suv was spinning it's tires at launch, you better beleive as soon as it hooked up it would ******* RUN not walk past the cobalt.
