Ive driven 4 different Cayenne turbos over the last 3 years (Dads a car whole saler) and Ive also test driven a ss/tc. Hands down the porsche should have walked you, dig or roll. Ill admit the ss/tc had a considerable power increase over the ss/sc but no where near the power of the Cayenne turbo. Come on......its a turbo Porsche....lol

According to edmunds,

cayenne s turbo

0 - 30 (sec): 2.1
0 - 45 (sec): 3.5
0 - 60 (sec): 5.2
0 - 75 (sec): 7.7
1/4 Mile (sec @ mph): 13.6 @ 103.7
30 - 0 (ft): 27
60 - 0 (ft): 110
Braking Rating (Excellent, Good, Average, Poor or Very Poor): Excellent
Slalom (mph): 65.2 mph
Skid Pad Lateral acceleration (g): .85g

The 2009 sedan in the road and track 4 door shootout recently went 104 mph at at 13.9 without a lsd, so I am sure that car was spinning.

looks pretty close to me as far as performance, not to mention the HUGE price gap.

Not sure about pulling on one but who knows when it comes to the driver mod?

ok, the cayenne has been out since 2002, so we are using the most recent numbers. how retarded would it sound if we were talking about the mustang gt and someone said,

"you guys are all retarded, the mustang gt has 260hp not 300hp"

I agree with you on that. Just saying that for the tc to hang with it, something must have happened to the porsche may it be traction, **** driver etc. If the porsche hooked it would dissapear pretty quick. Unless, you're hinting this never happened in the first place.

This thread is kind of comical...

Um, no we both got out of it at the same time...which was when I missed 3rd gear, he lifted throttle as well...

So, top of 2nd gear which is 64 mph...IIRC.

Smartdude you've been a know it from the conception of my thread...last I checked I work for a large well respected auto company and I know a thing or two about automobiles. I wouldn't come on here spouting bullshit...

Stop trying to discredit my first hand experience with your magazine racing, you own a 2.4L auto for chrissake, and you're trying to compare your car's inability to keep up with one to my SS/TC...

I try to never dog on people for their cars, but it plays right into your bullshit attitude and inexperience. I'm glad your friend's dad owns one...why don't you have him buy you a Cobalt SS/TC...

lol chill... I could care less about street racing... and the fact that im a 2.4 auto? well sorry... not every 4-banger wants to go fast... it's a point A to point B car for me and when I graduate in 2 years I will get a nicer car worth modding. and I wasn't putting you down personally so much as getting a rise out of drew1991sf.

and automotive inexperience?? i've personally rebuilt motors and transmissions... just cause I don't race and don't have a turbo and exhaust doesn't mean i have no experience.

Well, you didn't know that all the 08-09 SS models are Turbocharged...lack of automotive knowledge, be absolutely certain before you try to be a dick on the internet, this is serious business.

It is also great that you have dabbled in the mechanics...but it is frustrating for you to **** all over my thread without knowing what you're talking about with the matter at hand.
