From any mph roll vs a stock Eclipse whatever the SS/SC will win and not by a little either. I have been there and done that.

And from a dig it won't take long to catch up to a stock AWD DSM. A SS/SC runs a faster time and a higher MPH. A stock DSM doesn't even come close.

I think it is pretty much agreed that little $$ = Lots of power but in stock form be it a TSi, GS-T or GSX you have a solid 15.0 second car.

Claiming that they run 14.5-14.6 in stock form is simple fantasy.

Sorry SPEED407 but I know you're wrong on this if launching at 5500 got you a 14.5 1/4 mile, I got that messing up at the track. the Cobalt will end up catching the GSX by about 70-100ft after that the GSX is in the rear view mirror and from ANY roll the SS will pull until it hits 160MPH. BUT thats stock for stock those cars are easy and great platforms to mod and can easily be faster than an SS with the right mods e.g; boost controller, exhaust -cat, and intake could take an SS and thats maxing their stock Turbos that peak at 18lbs of boost they wont go over that. Stock for stock and if they dont launch the cobalt will leave them REALLY badly laterzzzzz.

what? i saw 21psi on my 14b constantly and when i ported and clipped it i was pushing 24/25psi. THAT'S maxxing it out. but you can still put out over 400awhp on the 14b. it just decreases the life of the turbo. hell, a t25 could sill make enough power to run 12's. it's been done time and time again. it just takes a little know-how. you got to know what your doing in order to really make a dsm fly.

Yeah I ment saftly my friend won't take his stock GSX past 20 thats pushing it for those things sorry ralliartist I should have been more specific I know it can go more but it's like if a SS put a 2.5" pully it will work it's just that you have to sacrifice the life of the blower ya know

....how in the world do you call a boost controller on a car stock? and GSX's run like 14.4 in a quarter mile how did your buddy shave off a second and a half? plus speed407 launched his GSX at 5500rpm and got 14.5 I still couldn't even fathom how ur buddies shaved off that much time, STOCK, but hey, I like to make up stories too, ........just not on these forums.
Oh and if you can direct me to the free boost controlers site that'd be awsome!!! (unless you mean he build a manual boost control but then again you still need to buy stuff to build it ahhh NM)
