Methinks you're right. The dude doesn't even know what a Carrera GT is, he thinks it looks the same as the 911 version. And we're supposed to assume he was right about it being a Carrera at all?

Wow, dude. You know nothing about cars and this guy was toying with you. That thing would destroy you. And you'd know the GT if you saw it, it's a 400,000 dollar car, looks like a longer MR2 Spyder and sounds like a sports bike -- not to mention 600-some horses. Let's see, 345 horses and only weighs a few pounds more than you........I smell BS.

I have to be honest here, depending if he was a stock SS/TC or a modded SS/TC makes the difference. First of all, the Carrera is not an easy car to drive. I know this because I have sported around enough Porsche clubs to understand the cars very well.
3.6L H6 325HP = The Carrera
Keep in mind this HP rating is not at the wheel. A SS/TC could hang or beat a 2007 Carrera. They are not as fast as you think. Did I mention it could of been AWD? So from a roll a AWD Carrera could be beaten buy a SS/TC.

Ohh yea and just for some more info. There are like 4 or 5 versions of the Carrera. The Carrrera S is rated at 355 hp, the baseline is rated at 325 HP. Then there is the Cabriolet version, and Coupe versions. AWD version, RWD versions and weight differences.
2008 Porsche 911 Carrera
2008 Porsche 911 Carrera 4
2008 Porsche 911 Carrera S
2008 Porsche 911 Targa
2008 Porsche 911 Turbo
2008 Porsche 911 Turbo
But just like others said, I bet it was a 245HP rated Caymen. There is also a 295HP Caymen S.

I know he THINKS he knows what car it was, but he doesn't even know the difference between a Carrera 4 and a GT. And we're supposed to believe he knows the true model and trim of the car?
So chill the hell out. Open your eyes to life and stop taking **** on the internet so personal.

hey, asshat, depending on your post settings -- this IS PAGE ONE, I read the whole thing. And I was giving my 2 cents. So it didn't matter to me if it had already been said, I was putting it in my words and throwing in there anythin that had been left out.

there are only 2 different hp ratings for the Carrera: 345 and 385. Not sure about the AWD versions, I thought they were all the Carrera models were RWD and only Turbo vs. GT2 model had a AWD version. Either way, if it's the one he pointed out in the picture (note the exhaust shape, the Carrera 4S has two double-barrel tips), it's 345hp, RWD, 0-60 in 4.8, and a track speed of 177, he would have been owned.
Your read everything, haha. Maybe you missed the part were I put up a pic of a GT and gave all the spec BS...Also in the end he admitted it was not a Carrera but Cayman.

And my apologies good king for not seeing your post. Please forgive me for posting the same thing you did. What are you mad that no one saw your post and your scared I might get credit for supplying the information. You want exclusive permissions on something, write a book. Until then.........so what, there was no need to correct me like a douche bag.

It coulda been an older (2003ish) 911 Carrera with a bad driver, those made ~315hp and ran low 13's with AWD. They weigh around 3200 so they're not that heavy either.

However it was most likely a boxter or a caymen.

that crazy but just like someone sig one here i sooner buy a $20000 car and put $30000 into it then buy a $50000 car ........that funny though i wonder if that guy is doubting all the money he spent ....... funny though stock 08 ss/tc > Porsche that great ....if you think about its crazy because they aren't even on the same level... then again while the Porsche isn't fast i bet it is nicer and with a better ride and interior fit and finish....i thought Porsche's was fast .....i wonder how a 2.4 would fair???

A stock SS\TC, even a tuned SS\TC would get it's ass wipped by a regular carrera 355 hp on the newer ones and 325 hp from like 1998 to 2006.
You must have ran a boxter. No way on the planet yuo ran a Carrera of any kind unless it was pre- 1988'
Hello mod, this is war stories, wake up.
