im sorry im not impressed with a brand new rear wheel drive 6.0 car that cant run any better than about half of the fwd 4 bangers at our track.

what kinda times did you run when you were stock?

HEY....stop calling me man.....lol

I don't have any slips on me so I can't recall our 1000' but my 1/4 (1320') is a 13.1 @106 on street tires...completely STOCK right down to the intake...lol

One of the guys we go to the track with just did a 12.921 completely stock but he's also got an auto

Most people can't launch the goats because of the IRS...it took about 20 runs getting used to that car to get it there. I know another kid who runs consistent HIGH 14's....we make fun of him ALL the time though....get what I'm saying girl.....lol

before the dealership yanked my mods I raced my best friends GTO. The launch he ate me alive. End of the race 3 to 3.5 car lengths. Which to me is a lot in other peoples mind it is not but that is what another 1.5 sec in the 1/4 ? The TQ is where those cars get you. They can **** their launch but the power keeps coming and coming.

yea it kind of makes me sick, but that doesn't mean it's the cars fault. The car is TOTALLY capable of very very low 13's very very high 12's stock

I would like to see that. I have never heard of a GTO stock running under a 13... at least not an 04. He must be one hell of a driver.

Your name is debbie right ? Dont feel bad I forget every girls name I sleep with....

it wasn't an 04...it is an 05'. yes my name is Deb and you slept with me?...no wonder I couldn't feel it

Here's a link to what some of the "good" LS2 guys/gals can do:

true.....the more time you spend at a track in your car, the better and more comfortable you will become with it.

most GTO's at HRP are running mid 13's in stock trim. I've seen a few dip into low, low 13's. I haven't personally witnessed a sub 13 second stocker; but I certainly agree they are capable of it. They have a lot more potential than people give them credit for...whether due to people not knowing how to launch on the IRS, or the styling or weight of the GTO I dunno..I'd sure as heck own one though.

Trust me, with the right driver, the 6.0 will blow a ss/sc away. They run low 13's. I have seen time slips of 4 STOCK 04's run 13.1-13.3 (only a couple guys on ls1gto.com though, I think one of the guys is a member on here). The guy definately didn't know how to drive, or it was an 04. The 04's aren't that fast, but CAN be driven to low 13's with crazy azz **** drivers.

Gonna have to pull out the bullsh*t card. I'm am a very faithful cobalt owner, but I am also an owner of a stock GTO, 06. The guy was not even close to pushing it if you kept up. Don't mean to talk down to anyone, but just my pennies. I'll put my goat against anything on the street and it is bone stock.......lancer evo VIII....done....3000gt vr4...done. I would take on a cobalt any day of the week and see nothing but the front end in the rear view.

I mess around with you all the time in here...come on now...we're distant buddies I just wanted to stir ya' up a bit lol I guess it worked....I haven't seen anymore interesting stories in the lounge bud, seems to me you're starting to slack...get on that!
