One concern I have for the aftermarket on the MS3 is the direct injection. Doesn't that mean that there are no swappable fuel injectors? That might limit some performance there, and from what I have read on the car, the turbo that is on it is pretty much at its limits.

Now, on the other hand, I don't think its a bad looking car, and for someone who wants something quick, affordable, and can haul people and cargo, its a pretty good deal. If I needed something that could comfortably carry more than 2 adults, I would consider one.

Yeah, no upgraded injectors...yet. Once they start making them though watch out for the MS3/6 and Sky/Solstice.

You can still run an extra injector setup.. No biggie.

Direct on the intake manifold.

Forget the extra injectors and just run a direct injection setup like I got. The kraut sure tastes good.

Time to end the pissing match

I'm sure we can all agree that if you are modded to be faster then another car whom is stock in the same class as you, to not expect much out of a race. So don't report back to a forum and say they weren't so impressive.

I am also sure we can agree the MS3 is faster then an LSJ with equal drivers due to the plethora of 13.9X time slips that have been around, while the Cobalt is still 14.2.

I am sure we can all agree that the MS3 is nowhere near as sexy as a Cobalt SS. Coupe over hatch FTMFW!

**Oh, and no, the MS3 is not "the new SRT-4". The SRT-4 still remains to be the fastest produced under $25k. I say this because of track times. I also know the MS3 can take the record given time when more drivers by them, progress in driving them stock, and take them to the track more and run them stock to see what times they make. Other then that, the SRT-4 os teh fastar.

Not true...not only are they no longer produced...but you could buy lots of cars back in the day for way cheaper than the SRT-4 and that were way faster.

shelby cobra
roadrunner
camaro
heck, not sure what times the SRT-4's are cutting but the LS1 camaros are good for 13.7's maybe a tinge lower depending on the year and you could by a 98 brand new for 24000.00 (I bought one new for that price).

not trying to nit pick cuz the SRT-4's are wicked little cars...but...and I can't say with 100% certainty, but this statement sounds a little off.

Im sorry you are right, I should have specified. The fastest car in its class. Most of those cars however costed less then $25k due to them being sold years ago when you could buy a bottle of coke for a nickel.

actually the new wrx tr is a good competitor for quarter times with the srt-4 and costs under 25k, many have 13 seconod timeslips for the new ones with the 2.5's. i would say under 20,000 there has been no competitor new for years. the srt-4 was base priced under 20k, so just to be safe, lets say 20k.

Nope, I'd say the SRT-4's are a hell of a lot more consistant than the new TR's when it comes to getting through the 13's barrier. I've seen some 13.8's from the R's and thats about it. PhillyLS1 on another cobalt board just set the best stock time for the SRT-4 with a 13.6. Other 13.6's have been done aswell but not as fast as his.

i'd have to agree that the SRT4 is probably still on top in the price range.

I have said from day one that the MS3 would be a 13 sec car stock. Either way we can all argue about who is faster and who cost more but fack all that *****, everyone just go out, have fun, race, and try not to hurt anyone.

and the srt-4 has been out for what 4 years? the tr's have been putting down 13's since they came out, so i would not count them out at all. sure you have to launch em hard as *****, but for under 25k right now, i beleive they would be the quickest. you said under 25k which is why i said the tr is a good competitor and may be quicker (it is close enough to be a drivers race) but like i said the srt-4 was technically under 20k, but isn't being produced anymore so shouldn't be counted as then you would have to include all of the cars that aren't being produced anymore which would include some monsters under 20k.
