Raced my dad's Cobalt today
Yep we went from a dig and a roll,and I won both times.I was a little worried at first,my dad has been drag racing for over 40 years,and after reading the post about how close a GXP G6 comes to these I thought dad's weight savings would make up for the HP difference.So race 1 from a roll,we went from about 35 and I let Pops lead the way,I think he just left it in drive the whole time,but I'm not sure,I down shifted to 2nd and nailed it,he already had 3 cars on me by this time,then the turbo kicked in and I hit 23 psi and pulled along side and started inching ahead,BAM 3rd gear I started monkey raping him Like Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhall 35 minutes into Brokeback Mountain.Then I let off about 15 carlengths ahead.Race 2 from a dig.We went to our favorite spot which is about a1/4 mile before it hits one lane.Light turns green I launched at about 2500,no launch control,I think he was manually shifting for a little extra gitty up.He put 2 cars on me before I stopped spinning BAM 2nd I passed him up like a fat kid waiting for a dance at the prom,BAM 3rd,He was monkey raped again,like Jodi Foster in The Accused on a pinball machine,BAM 4th(For any Chicago White Sox fans in the audience today)It's OVVVAAAAHHH!!!!! 25 carlengths.I just didn't want to be the only one enjoying an easy kill in War Stories today.I felt pretty good after that I pulled over to talk to Pops before I went home,and he said to me"Dude I almost had you" I shook my head, smiled,and told him I yelled VEETTEEKKK on every shift,he accused me of cheating and we went our seperate ways,gonna be a rough Father's Day

Because I knew I would win,that's why
I also felt, after reading about the GXP G6 kill,I would post about another race a T/C should win,no real point about it, just wanted to make some people smile I guess.
