Me and a couple of my buddies had a little cruise tonight. Did some back country road racing. The SS Sc i raced had a vibrant catback, cold air intake, and short shifter. First race was kinda confusing. My buddy in the back, who wasnt racing did the 3 honks, i took off, ss took off a little late. 2nd race was a 20 mph roll. I kept up til i shifted into 3rd lol. Raced again from a dig. From the start i pulled a car or two on him, shifted to 2nd pulled a little more, shifted to third and he started creepin up. I shut it down about a car ahead. Last race had the same results. Btw i was running all motor, my nitrous feed line had a leak and i took it out about a week ago. Base models can be very bad ass.

Now im just gonna wait til someone calls BS.

that 13 is with a 50 shot of nitrous which he didnt use in this race against the SS/SC

The 13 was with nitrous. I was running without it today. Should be very low 15 or very high 14s right now.

yeah you should be in the steady 15s with those mods off the n20. no way that ss/sc is in the 15s unless he plain and simple sucks ass at driving and shifting

Last time i went to the track there were 2 guys in SS SC running no better than 15.2.

And just to say with the tune and my new trans mounts im hoping to hit atleast 13.5 on opening weekend.

I agree. It's obvious he wasn't a good driver if you pulled two cars on him within first gear. Go look at the drag list, you know this story isn't very practical unless he did a high rev dump off the line and took over a second on the shifts.

Honestly even with you on nitrous he should still have more power along with better gearing, etc.

this week i went up to jacksonville and hungout with a couple of the guys. one dude had a 2.2 that was kinda all fucked up cause it was in wrecks but he just had a muffler and itsounded reallly good and was actually really fast. Like he raced a S/C and lost but it was suprisingly close. It was like Gm was in a great mood when they made that 2.2. Its just abnormally fast for a 2.2

Sorry man but he wasn't running right or lacked a driver mod. No way would you beat a properly running SS/SC with even a moderate driver.

You kidding me? Probably the only glory thread the 2.2 ever got, after all the bashing from the lsj guys over the years, I don't see any problem with a user posting a good kill. That kill is very possible too, considering that the lsj didn't know how to launch. From a roll, the lsj killed it.
