Well magazine racing gets old really fast.
Somehow a 2000 Mustang GT runs a 13.7 in a MM&FF test and all GT's run 13's, Motortrend nets a 13.5 in a 2005 GTO and all LS2 GTO's run 13.5 kinda like the 15 second 0-100mph results some magazines published on the SS/SC.
As for videos alot of people will say seeing is believing but the new breed of shitty drivers, staged races and unmentioned mods make that statement require further definition.

I watched Chris Angel put his hand through a vending machines plexiglass window and grab a bag of chips.
As for some of the videos people post here and on youtube or streetfire they are along the same lines.

as for the gto owners being gay, Im going to now make it a point to smoke every one I come across. Ill try and get it on video too, and everyone i kill i will say " look my cobalt is faster". Then an ignorant gto owner will say " thats bs, you cant kill a gto no matter how many mods u have. Stage 3 running nitrous wont kill a GTO. HAVE YOU HEARD THE TERM "THAT THERE IS NOT REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT" just the same way you mod your car we can mod ours and our car will gain more HUGE POWER than yours ever will. That being said stock for stock, mods for mods, the GTO WILL RAPE YOU ANYTIME BUDY.

PLEASE lets not make this yet another lockable GTO vs. Cobalt thread. Can't we all just get along? I mean, come on, we're both driving GM vehicles for cryin out loud. How bout the GTO guys go handle some of the newer Stangs and we will handle the SRT4's and Si's that are blown(super or turbocharged) and what not.
And for all the new guys that are coming on here ONLY to argue with the ones that are giving the Cobalt guys a bad name, grow up. I know it aggravates you when people talk about your precious, I feel the same, but I don't go around to all kinds of websites to defend my car. That would take FOREVER, especially since there aren't many people that really know the capabilities nor potential of these cars.
One more thing, neither the GTO owners nor the Cobalt owners are Gods for cryin out loud. There will ALWAYS be something else out there that will beat you, accept it. By the way, bang for your buck, both the GTO and the Cobalt hold there own. Thanks, I'm out.

I know the few I've raced haven't been much of a challenge....like amtrak lengths pathetic. So....I hope the cobalts start picking fights with them! That'd be a good run for a bolt on or near stock cobalt I think.

i happen to like certain mustangs, its usually the owners of cars that give em a bad name. LIke the one dude i beat in the gto flipped me off as i turned into school and the other guy said i had a nice car and was actually thinking about getting one.

of course any mod for mod on a larger displacement will win.. but using this "no replacement for displacement" is just as bad as your Honda rice boys in their own ways..
2 cars are racing.. i modded mine you didnt mod yours.. guess what.. you still ******* loose.. woulda, coulda, shoulda dont mean ****.. only means who won and who lost so keep making statements and keep loosing.. If everybody modded then the statements fits.. but since probably only 1% if that actually MOD.. then mod for mod vs displacement dont mean ****... i got a fully built 5.0 sitting at the house that runs faster then any stock lsx you wanna throw at me.. but what does that mean.. means im faster then you and you have more displacement.. who cares if you can beat me POTENTIALLY because are you gonna spend the money to do it.. NOPE... so start making valid points instead of throwing around the same thing i have heard for the past 10 years
