We live right besides the ocean, so sea level for sur, maybe like altitude of 25 feet :-p I never knew though about turbo working better than supercharge on higher altitude... Elaborate on that!!

You can beat him, he will have 251hp, and still about 150tq.

You need to upgrade to a 2.8" pulley, and then get a good retune. That will give you about another 20+hp from the stock stg2pulley, and regap those plugs to 30, not 40

I believe I remember reading that the kit brings the civic to 220-230 HP but torque was still low

This kit comes with new fuel injectors and an eManage system, so not stock fuel components. on this or the Scion Tc Kits.

Stock for stock the I raced a 06 SI. at a track. beat him every time even when I didnt have a great run. we ran 3 or 4 times.

Now his car modded gives 25% more power and lets say it does. the SS gets GMS2. that is also approx giving 20% then add a smaller pulley. in the end should be able to beat him as bad as a stock for stock race.

You will beat him. final answer. till he figures a way to go to like 12 PSI and then we cant touch him till we get faster..... to infinity and beyond.

id say slap a 2.8" pulley on their with your stage 2 or even better get a 2.5-2.6" pulley w/ 60lbers and a custom tune then you wont have to worry about it

martin, i told you to gap you plugs down haha, and to get the smaller pulley and hptuners with me! now you have a real reason too, although, id love to run your friend now . I cant wait till spring to unleash my beast again

have him come out to the cobalt meet in april or something,we can do a bunch of pulls on the highway.

It could be close. Have you run the 1/4 yet in your SS?
The kit will add good power, but because of the mediocre turbo size, and high compression, the torque will build quickly like your eaton set-up. Gearing will
give him the advantage as it's set-up for no torque.(assuming traction)
Tires will factor in. Is he getting tuned, or just crap reflash?
I would expect with a novice driver this civic would be a 13 second car at sea-level.
Should be fun for sure.
Good luck.

Through extensive research and product testing. I have came to the conclusion that it adds 35whp to 2.0L and 75WHP to a 2.4L ECOTec engine in the Cobalt Delta Chassis.

^^^^ I dont get the reasoning why that supercharge in this case would be better. Its 700$ more and gives at best the same amount of hp? And it stresses the engine components more because the SC takes HP away from the engine. So even with the same amount of WHP, the SC motor makes more power, jsut the SC takes it away for operation. More power = more stress on internals.
