So I raced a 500 HP Silverado.....
My brother has a 2005 chevrolet silverado extended cab turbo diesel. He has a quadzilla chip and a straight pipe exhaust pushing about 500hp and 700 ft lbs of torque. My mods are in my sig. The first race was from a 40 mph roll. He didn't stand a chance. I pulled him instantly and gained about 4 to 5 cars on him by 80. We raced twice from a stop. He spooled his turbo up and we both took off about dead even. At about 25 I pulled away from him by about 2 cars by 60. The second race from a stop it was a little closer untill about 40 and I pulled away from him. It was a good time. And no it wasn't a street race.

Yep. The tune made a hell of a difference.
That's exactly what happened. Although If I would have taken it easy off the line then I might have pulled him better. We both spun quite a bit off the line.
Thanks! It has to be the calipers.
Oh and my current mod is 225 40 nitto neo gen tires. They grip awesome with no wheel hop!

Modulator? You mean the double chip? If that's what you mean then he would tear the hell out of the transmission. He was thinking about getting the double chip for it. But then he would have to upgrade the transmission.

Banks has the best performane stuff out there. The best being the Banks 6 shooter i believe. At work on dealerworld they have pictures of a torn down engine that was blown by using this. Split pistons in half. flowered the tops of the pistons from the spray of the fuel, practically melted rods. If I could get onto it from home Id get pictures of it. Those things are monsters when done right.

Modded Diesel trucks are kinda pointless but at the same time neat.
My GF's dad has a tuner on his newer Powerstroke and that thing could pull a damn tree out of the ground.

I don't know how the chevys run by I ran a Cummins at the track last time. It was actually a guy that lives by me, he has a ss/sc as well, he is a member on here. His ss/sc was stock when we went so he took the truck. He had some sort of programming on it, made it a freekin animal, and a 4" turbo back. He ran it in 4x4 to get it off the line and ran a 13.89 at 101. My best up there was 13.86 so it was equal to me. We ran a couple times and he would just destroy me off the line and I would start reeling him in about at the 1/8. He said he would never get traction if he didn't run it in 4x4. Makes me look at them trucks a lot different now. I knew you could get power from them sure, but to be that quick, is just crazy. Also, he has to turn his programming on everytime he starts it up and the one time he ran me he forgot and I raped him, so it makes that much of a difference. That run he ran 15s or 16s I forget.
