I almost mentioned the orange Cobalt. It's probably a good thing he wasn't in the orange one. Was along the night the orange one got pulled over for going 100+ mph through a staging area for a DUI checkpoint.
The orange one was a cop magnet. And Cavalier magnet. And mailbox magnet. And hillside magnet. Also witnessed the hillside incident first-hand.

EDIT: Your honor, I don't know what car he pulled over but it wasn't mine. The license plate is correct but my front plate was stolen and I haven't been to the DMV to get a new one, money is a little tight right now.

Still works in california. My buddy go off for 120mph on the freeway cuz his car was listed ad honda 4 door, and he was driving a hatch... I guess there are some good things about living here, sometimes haha.

The ticket I got this past weekend was I a different county and is a ticket for unreasonable speed. I won't be fighting it or going to court I'll just pay it. Deferr if possible and be on my way. Also it was hand written not an electronic piece of paper so idk if that matters on it being in the system right away or not. As for the speed contest. In court on Monday I planned on just pleading guilty and if the judge lets me speak I will just do my best to see if I can do a deferment or something to lesson the charge so it doesn't hurt my chance at employment in the future. And as for insurance rates. Well most likely the cobalt will be going up for sale after CED.

Here's one for Virginia. Looks like traffic would also be under district courts.

My friend got the same ticket "speed contest" twice, the first time got off with just a small fine like $500, the second time he was supposed to do 30 days in jail, did only 3 days. Like $1200 in fines that times. Plus like 40 hours of community service and his licence suspended for 6 months.

Get a laywer.
It sounds like you have 3 violations in a year. The speeding, the 6-18,and the 6-8.
Judge might look down on that a lot of places 3/year is bye bye license.
Im assuming speed contest tickets will be more severe than fines.

the one is speed contest. the other was a speeding ticket which was paid and deferred. and the most recent was an unreasonable speed ticket which counts as less than a speeding ticket for doing 1mph over the speed limit.

That sucks man. I got pulled over one time for doing 73 in a 50 (what he clocked me at). But it was actually faster. A guy I know was being a douche. Riding my bumper, etc. He had a malibu with an exhaust. He was driving crazy, as soon as I came up on traffic I slowed way down and he weaved in and out of it. I was stock with a few guys in my car. Afterwards he pulled off to some back street and I got stopped at a stop light so the cop pulled right on my bumper and flipped his lights on. He ended up not writing me a ticket for speed contest due to me being respectful and him not catching the malibu. He ended up writing me for a 55 in a 50 which I was very thankful for. He was a sheriff. Seems like only city cops are the douches.

i used a lawyer to contest a wreckless driving ticket once. cost me $1000 well worth the money. the ******* cop wrote me up after i rear ended a truck. hit hte brakes and slid down a wet paved hill into the back of a truck... $8k worth of damage on my kia and only a scratch on the bumper of the truck. officer was on the way to another call and stopped when he saw the aftermath.
he explains to me that the new pavement gets hot in the summer and then when it rains the oil in the ashphalt comes to the surface and makes it very slippery. then proceeds to write me a wreckless ticket and says it's the default charge and there was nothing he could do for it even though he felt bad.
what happend to a ticket for following to closely? i would think even that would be better than wreckless. lol regardless i fought it and won. it was thrown out.
