SRT4 Check
Recently went to a Buick event at National Trail Raceway. Friday night was just test and tune and my cousin and I we just messing around seeing to who could be the better time in my '10 Cobalt SS. Late in the day a group of people show up one in a Ford Focus, another in a Mercedez, and the last in a SRT4 Neon. I was waiting to go up to make a pass and I'm watching the Neon make a 14.34 pass and I make a 14.12 pass. I get back to the pits and I keep an eye on it to see if there would be a coincidental chance I could line up against it. He makes his way to the staging lanes and I ran to my car and got behind him so we could line up. We get on the track do the burnout get staged light goes green and we take off. I didn't really see the Neon until we get to the finish line and I see the WIN LIGHT CAME ON IN MY LANE. I go around and grab my time slip. I find out that I cut a .094 light to his .345 light and I ran a 14.23 and he went a 14.09. I may not have gotten the faster time but I beat him where it mattered on the tree so I can now put a check next to the SRT4 Neon as a Kill.

good race but most people don't care about reaction time when racing. they just want the faster car.. just sayin' you're a better driver maybe but his car was faster.. that being said if you were racing on the street, you'd have been the winner so good kill

That's true when people see that one car is faster than the other they'll go for that one. But it's a different story when you're the one racing or understand how the slower car was able to beat the faster car. I'll admit though he was starting to walk me down in the last half of the track hahaha.

Yea I usually try to cut a good light. That day I was cutting .1XXs with my best being the .094. My overall best with the Cobalt is .017. I just haven't ran it in over a year and just needed to get the feel back on when I can start letting the clutch out and not red light. All good fun though that's all that matters to me.

When I wasn't paying attention on what RPM to leave at I was averaging 2.4-2.3 60' When I ran the Neon it was 2.2 and when I went my 14.07 the next day I left at 2500 RPM and my 60' was 2.19

Nice, always feels good beating someone with the driver mod . I raced a kid with a 2011 STi claiming 375+ hp. I ran a 13.9 and he ran a 14.1, so technically I beat him but I don't count it as a kill because that car would have smoked me with a decent driver. He was claiming he couldn't get traction in his AWD car yet I managed to in my FWD.

I went 102mph and he went 103mph. My car is pretty much stock. Only thing I've done to it is put a drop in K&N Filter in it. The Neon I know nothing about it.
