SS Camaro Vs. Me at the track
I raced an SS Camaro at Bandimere. It was a stock SLP SS 6spd on street tires.
My mods are: S2/2.8/I/E/ETD 230whp 208wtq @ 14.5psi
I ran a 14.2 @ 99 with a modest 2.3 60'
He ran a 14.4 @ 97 with a 2.2 60'
The track is at 5900ft so altitude is going to affect the Camaro more because it is N/A.
I know he could have gotten a much better launch.
Also, I was only seeing 12.5 psi at the end of each run in 3rd. I think my belt is stretching.

Stock cobalt ss/sc's run low 15's when they get 2.2-2.3 60's at Bandi.

Which header are you running? And did the drop in boost come around that time?
You'll flip out if you ever come down closer to sea level and unleash that beast,
Edit: I also saw that you are running the cat back, so freer exhaust will account for some drop in boost as well

I wouldn't be able to launch with all the extra power at sea level. lol

What year of Camaro was it, I hope it was an LT1 SS!
If it was a LT1 14.4 is average since the SLP stuff on the LT1's is only worth maybe 10HP at most. Unless it is a SLP LT4 or a 2001-2002 SLP optioned car they aren't really faster than a normal LT1 & LS1.

This was a stock LS1 (98-02) SLP SS 6spd.
Edit: The LT1 SS does exist.

thats my 97 SS they started making the SS again in 1996, my car is a 315hp optioned car, there are also 305 hp option and the stock Z28 is 285 (in 96 and 97) but a mid 14 is about right for a LS1 SS at the elevation.

Either way, the one I raced had the 98-02 front end.

I had two Camaro SS'S one 2000 (M6) and a 2002 (A4) I got the 2000 in the twelves before mods and the 2002 was .03 away from the 12's bone stock.
I like the 1996-1997 Camaro Z28 SS's looks a little better but a SS/WS6 is maybe .02 faster than the regular LT1's. Another thing I liked about LT1's was that the Auto was no slower than the M6 NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE HEARD.
As for the LS1 SS a fully SLP modified one would easily have 25hp over a regular LS1. The SLP/Bilstein suspension also brought the skidpad rating into the .92 to .94 area.
