Ignore rated power, especially with FI cars. You guys, as I recall, were rated 205, but like the SRT-4 before you, it wasnt uncommon for them to dyno rated power at the wheels.
Now, from what Ive seen, the new ones come in about 240whp, so your down about 40, maybe 35.But, in any case, heres the problem with your thought process. When I first got my SRT-4, back in 2003, I took it to the track, MIR. They were pretty rare then, very few outside FL or CA, thats the only place they sold them initially. I was surprised to see a black SRT-4 there also.
I staged a few cars back from him, got to see him go. Big freaking burnout, then he wheelhopped the crud out of it. That run got him a whopping 15.2. He did get better through the day, best run of 14.7, I think.
Me, my first run was 14.2, (first trip ever down the strip in ANY car) best run of the day was 14 flat. If you to run him, and based your thoughts on SRT-4s off that, youd be pretty surprised to run me, and lose by 5-6 car lengths. Thats my point, you ran one Charger, and therefore think every Charger will run like the one that ran you. Thats flawed logic. We know very well that V8 Chargers can range widely in their times, as can any car.

Based on my experiences racing SS/SC's and Charger R/T's in my GTO, I would put them on par with one another. I have not had a chance to toy with a Charger R/T in my SS/SC. The SRT8 is a completely different animal though. Those were on par with my GTO. I never got to play with a 300C with either of the V8's, so I don't know if they run differently or how much.

But compared to other cars in its size class, the 5 series, or the E-Class, its a normal weight. Its a large four door sedan with lots of trunk space, weight comes with the territory
(damn internet telepathy helmet, on the fritz again)
Sorry, we didnt know that

Yes, I just ate one up on the interstate Saturday. He tried to swing around me to the inside and pass me. I pulled on him very easily 70 to 120ish then I let off. Since he was always behind me I don't know what type of Charger, but I saw black decals so maybe a Daytona? But it was weak.
