ss/sc v s2k

So my girlfriend and i decided to go eat something before we meet up with a couple of friends. As i pull of the highway i notice a black honda s2000 with an exhaust and a huge apexi sticker on the back window. The mufflers were about as rice as you can get and looked really bad. The guy kept reving his engine up every chance he got. It surprisingly sounded really good. He eventually pulled into a parking spot and so did i about to spots down. As my girlfriend and i were walking in the driver and his friend were looking at us and laughing. I just shrugged it off orderd my food and satdown. Then the two came in and ordered. The driver looked like a complete toolshed. He had a popped collar, torn up jeans, was wearing his sunglasses inside and was wearing flip flops. ******* FLIP FLOPS it was 22* today! The passenger just looke like a fat nerd that played dungeons and dragons and warcraft etc. So my girl and i eat and hang around for a little bit waiting for my freinds to call. We eventually got up and left and they immediatly followed. He got up next to me and reved his engine the whole time we were at the light. (which was a solid 5 minutes). The light turns green and we both go like normal, i hear that hes not shifting so i keep it in 2nd and at 35 he takes off and then i go. Through second i pulled even with him and through third i put about a car on him up to 100 then let off. I know he atleast had a catback but i think he had more. His exhaust was popping and backfiring really loud so i think he had a header and downpipe. I have s2, 2.9, intake and catback. It felt good to beat him but i wanted to destroy him. Oh well, time to get more mods

You know you are dealing with a doche bag when he is wearing flip-flops in below freezing temps. Good to hear you beat him.

yea...that definitely isnt true. i personally have never owned a pair of flip flops, but in so cal, its pretty common....i'd say 1 in 4 or 5 guys wear lip flops during summer, spring, and fall

im sure theyre very common in most warm states actually....

to the OP, badass story. S2ks are nice... 238hp (with no tq), less than 3,000lbs, and a 6 spd tranny. I think they sell for high $20K to low $30k, but i dont really know

my mom recently bought an 05 s2k garage kept and in excellent condition for $17,000 from a dealership here but shes really good at haggling....when i got my cobalt she talked the dealership down from $17,900 to $14,900. They are fun little cars to drive, and the shortness of the shifter and 6 speed tranny feel really good to shift. I wouldnt get one as a dd tho cuz im 6'1 235lbs

whats the sale tax over in nashville?

nvm i found out. your mother talked really 1800.00 off sticker price... nobody pays sticker price btw. but idk moms and pops can always use there old skill to talk down price on something. after taxes i saved 1500 bucks. sales tax here is only 6%... i believe nashville it stated mid 8%. tax is gay. lets all move to deleware where no tax is

Man I just love hearing stories of Balts beating up on S2K's. Its like honda's pride and joy of a street car and you still get powned. You should carry a camera with you next time just in case u see this ***hole again that way those S2K owners will stop paper racing when it comes to our cars. This is what happened to a kid that tried to paper race me.

p.s. sry for the threadjack..just thought it would be related

honestly i owned an s2k and it was quick... but u had to know how to drive the car to be fast... as ricer as it sounds u had to race the car when it was in vtec.... aka u had to launch the car from 6k and pray u didnt break.... and from roll races u had to go from a point where u were in a good vtec spot... such as a 25mph roll perfect for 1st gear and a hard vtec pull... and around 50-55 mph in 2nd gear.....

i have been around for awhile and i have raced alot of balts in all my cars... and the s2k keep up wit my buddys stg2 intake and cbe car.. we were dead even from a mid 50-55mph roll... and from a 25mph id pull half a car or so....

the s2k is now getting affordable to all the gay ricer boys and they r doin ricer **** to them and givin them a bad name.... heck unless u spend like 1200-2000 on an exhaust from js racing or mugen or spoon u would lose power.. even a cold air intake makes less then a modded stock airbox with a drop in filter.... but those motors love forced induction... a 75 shot and that car becums a force to be messed wit... a turbo and ur **** outta luck....

just my .02

amen to that..... i could do a 13.8 at 105 in mine wit a test pipe in modded air box.... wit a 75 shot i could have been able to pull low 13s..... and if my gf's brother didnt hit a deer in it on homecoming night i would have swapped in a r32 vlsd and put sum slicks on it and ran low 13s witout a bottle and then sprayed to run mid/high 12s... before i would build the motor n slap a gt35r on her

honestly he wasnt doin anything wrong.. i met up wit him that night in we were hangin out after his gf's homecoming and he already took her home and worst of all i was ridin in the car when it happened....

we were on a highway runnin 60ish in a straight line.... the buck ran out he hit it soft but the car spun around and nailed a bank....went thru a barbed wire fence and we had to push it out but drove it home.....

but honestly i wasntto upset because i almost had it paid off i owed very little and it was worth a good deal of money.. so i got a real nice check.... and i bout an s13.....and sum ummm JDM goodies.. lol... and now im happier then ever because i own this "R13" and insurance is cheap and it will be dun n about a week and ill be puttin down sum really sweet numbers....
