You should be able to edge out a stock WRX, they aren't exactly rockets.

Whether it's a CAI or an Air Box mod, the fact is your opening up more breathing room for the supercharger...hence more power. An Air Box Mod is the way to go if you don't care about saving your stock parts incase you trade your car in or sell it.
