Geez, last time I checked this thread ppl were on the right track (i.e. Stage 2 to hang-ish with a stock R/T), and then the flame war. Someone get tired of picking fights with GTO's?

nah i think everyone from every forum ever will agree that a kid in a 2.2 without any power adders thinking he took down a low 14 sec car is a special boy.

I have ran a 14.2 stock in my SS/SC but there is not way I could have ran that every time, where the charger auto can. So if you are a kick ass driver it will be VERY close. Autos are just so damn consistent even with a shitty driver. I would go to the track and hope that his reaction time is shitty and he thinks that is auto-manually shifting is the ****.

There is no flame war with Charger drivers...I simply found it VERY funny that the kid came in and thought that because he had a stick in his 2.2 that he was able to beat a 345HP & 390 TQ car - Charger or not.
He wants to throw some BS my way because he thinks my Jeep is gay, good for him. I sat and cried ALLLLL day about it LOL

r/t chargers trap 98-99 mph stock roughly
ss/sc trap 97-99 stock
2.2s trap 87 mph with a stick with a slight tailwind
If the ss/sc drive perfect its a drivers race for the 1/4
if the ss/sc ***** up he lost it.

well let me get in on this i have a stock 07 lt stick and i raced a charger RT on the high way for a dead stop he pulled in front of me at first when i hit second i pulled up alittle when i hit third i pulled in front of him by 110 i was half a car length in front of him, now i dont know what it had in it or if it was just because he was a bad driver but i got his assssssss hahahahaha

Listen, get a Stage 2 and beat him in the top end. Someone posted the times according to Car and Driver. We're .2 seconds off stock. Stage 2, you'll pull ahead by a nose and he won't be able to say ****. he'll be able to do nothing but face the music that his car isn't as fast as he thought it was. At the very LEAST you'll keep up and he'll still have to bite his tongue because you're not as slow as he thought.

I love how everyone thinks there are no mods for the Hemi and that Stage 2 or "X mods" for the Cobalt are the end-all for the other car.
Yes, Stage 2 should be enough to take the stock RT...until he mods as well.

Who said there were no mods for the R/T? The only reason the stock R/T is being talked about is because that is what his friend has, so don't try and start something that is not there. The only reason the stg 2 is being brought up is because that some believe the only way to beat a STOCK R/T is to have a stg 2 or better. That doesn't mean they think it is god.
