SS/SC vs EX-R

Well normally i think honda's are reasonably slow cars (short of type s, prelude, and TL's... even TSX's are pretty slow) but the new EX-r's freakin impress me. v6 6 speed, just impressive... but when i was on my way back into town and saw one rip by me i chuckled and said "silly honda, vtec's for kids!" so i took on after him. so back and forth we battled and we both were having a good time, nobody at all on the road really. Extremely sparse traffic. So up ahead we see a blue pt cruiser and he takes the lead, pulls to the far left lane (pt in the middle lane) and rips past the pt cruiser... i was about to follow suit... till i saw the cop car infront of the pt cruiser. So i just pull into the left lane and then resume posted limit and buddy in the EX-R SLAMS on his brakes to hit the speed limit.

To my surprise the cop didnt pursue. So the pt cruiser starts to slow down (for some odd reason people are scared to pass police cars even if they are just going the speed limit) So i end up passing the cop car going the limit. Eventually we get back into the city and pull up to a set of lights. I unroll my window (im now in the middle lane, ex-rs in the left lane) and i say "sorry bro! if i could have warned you i would have" he just laughed and gave me the thumbs up then the cop car pulls into the lane next to us and buddy in the ex-r promptly hides his thumbs up of approval. The cop unrolls his window so i unroll my passenger side one down (and kept driver side one down so ex-r guy could hear him) and the cop just smiles and said "watch out for the police, they might pull you guys over if they catch you doing that... nice cars by the way" and then smiled at us and rolled up his window and waved.

Like christ we were goin about 150-160 km/h in a 110 zone haha i thought he was going to scream at us.

I have a couple of friends and family members on the police though and they told me that usually if they see a "sporty" car that looks like it can handle those types of speeds and cornering they USUALLY Dont have a problem as long as its a fairly dead road and not really jeopordizing anybody else.

What they do care about is seeing kids out in their rusted out 1988 geo's with a fart can and giant wing and thinking they own a sports car that can handle those speeds and corners who pull stupid **** on busy roads.

all in all, ex-r's are quick but it seemed about even for most of the drive
