SS/SC vs. Mustang GT/CS

I know different tracks will yield better or worse times.... But , My brother has a stock 05 GTO, and after only three times to the track has a best time of 13.94.
What am i trying to say?....well Chevypowered seems to me that with the mods you have, you should be getting better times. It could be the track, or it could be your driving whos to tell.

Did your brother run his car in NY? IF so the elevation of that track is at most 2,000'.

I would beat STI's about every other time. I would have had a better 60' with better prep. When i dynoed i had 280 WHP and WTQ, i think that is an exelent time for that amount of HP and Tq in a 3,800 lbs vehicle, don't you think?

the car is 400 stock at the engine...with the bolt ons you have i would guess it should be at least 425- 450 at the engine......so you're losing anywhere from 220 to 270 hp through the drive train???????

ok well i looked up nhra correction tables, and if you are at 7000' (is that what the track you're at is at?) you ran 12.77
The track he ran at is 860'......corrected that is 13.76
so yes that is a good time....of course i looked up the track elevation, not the air density of the day he ran.

That is awesome cuz I'm a ford hater. Specailly Mustangs...I raced one today. Was a new GT. The guy didint even want to give me the time, but finally after lol at me we raced. Was even untill I hit high rpms in second. After that I slowly pulled away and I'm stock. Was fun as hell and he wouldnt even look at me after that. Just a mean, sad puppy dog face that he lost to a 4 banger chevy. I love it!

It has an intake not much faster than any other new style gt but I agree there no slouch

I have seen stock 2005 or so stangs doing 14.2.
Chevypowered I would like to know if your tires are stock. 2.0 60ft is really good.

Yeah I believe it is possible. I just thought about what could be the difference and then I remembered she has Drag radials.
