I know different tracks will yield better or worse times.... But , My brother has a stock 05 GTO, and after only three times to the track has a best time of 13.94.
What am i trying to say?....well Chevypowered seems to me that with the mods you have, you should be getting better times. It could be the track, or it could be your driving whos to tell.

I've got a good time for my track, when i raced everyone didn't expect me to get those times. That was with a 7,000' air density and on a track that was not swept or cleaned or preped. I would beat STI's about every other time. I would have had a better 60' with better prep. When i dynoed i had 280 WHP and WTQ, i think that is an exelent time for that amount of HP and Tq in a 3,800 lbs vehicle, don't you think?

Did your brother run his car in NY? IF so the elevation of that track is at most 2,000'.

How much extra power are you guys getting out of this "stage 2?" Any dyno charts?

13.731 @ 100
2.0 60'
7000'+ Air Density

I did not have my diablo tune then, and prep was very shitty.

I'm not sure what the elevation is, but wait you only have 28o whp with an 06 goat? with bolt ons
the car is 400 stock at the engine...with the bolt ons you have i would guess it should be at least 425- 450 at the engine......so you're losing anywhere from 220 to 270 hp through the drive train???????

ok well i looked up nhra correction tables, and if you are at 7000' (is that what the track you're at is at?) you ran 12.77
The track he ran at is 860'......corrected that is 13.76
so yes that is a good time....of course i looked up the track elevation, not the air density of the day he ran.

You lose 3% for every 1000', corrected i had 350 HP/TQ, So because of elevation i lost 70HP i know it sucks. I couldn't imagine this beast at sea level.

The track i go to is 5,500' or so but the AD are always way higher, like that night it was over 7000'. I'm sure at sea level i could run a 13 flat or maybe just maybe get in the 12's with good track prep. With this tune i got i should be able to cut some more time off, we'll see when i go to bandi next.

That is awesome cuz I'm a ford hater. Specailly Mustangs...I raced one today. Was a new GT. The guy didint even want to give me the time, but finally after lol at me we raced. Was even untill I hit high rpms in second. After that I slowly pulled away and I'm stock. Was fun as hell and he wouldnt even look at me after that. Just a mean, sad puppy dog face that he lost to a 4 banger chevy. I love it!

I am surprised that a CS stang has no performance enhancements. Are you sure. I saw a girl (who can drive) with a CS and she ran 13.5 all day.

I have seen stock 2005 or so stangs doing 14.2.

Chevypowered I would like to know if your tires are stock. 2.0 60ft is really good.

a well driven new gt should run well into the 13's, once again conditions and driver are a big factor in drag racing

Yeah I believe it is possible. I just thought about what could be the difference and then I remembered she has Drag radials.
