SS/SC VS RSX TYPE S with S/C

Ok guys i need some info.

My buddy has an RSX type S with a jackson racing supercharger running at 8psi. He also has headers and full exhaust, and he tunes with K-Pro.

Just wondering if anyone has gone up against one. I ran him with just my stage 2 kit and K&N intake and got owned. But then again we did not go from a 40mph roll, but still it would not have matter cause i know he is putting down a heck of alot more at the wheels then me.

What mods do you think are need to keep up... just curious, never seen a post about someone racing a RSX-type S with a blower..

Thanks

uh, you would need to be making over 300 hp just to keep up with the difference in gearing. if hes making 280-290 (thats what most 8psi sc'ed rsx's put down) you might as well just wait and go turbo with the hahn kit later this summer...

Remember you also have 20's on that makes a difference as well. If you put a 2.9 pulley on, do full header dp and exhaust with no cat and tuned i think it would be close but i think he would still squeeze by you..u can also port your blower for lower temps..cooling could help with more timing as well

also you could just run a 50shot on ur car with a stage 3 pcm and i think you could beat him the way you are.

looks like he understands the concept of power to weight and rotational mass

His car is definetly lighter than urs and he should be in the upper 200whp ish range (my guess is about 270whp or around there). Those 20s arent helping u any, and his gearing is probably giving him the adv. as well.

You need to loose those 20s get something lighter and probably reduce some weight and then work on 50 shot nitrous setup, bigger injectors? custom tune? full catback/exhaust system. You should kill him with these upgrades

like i was sayin the cheapest way for you to beat him i think would be to put ur stocks on, 2.9 pulley on the stage 2...cobra h/e for cooling reasons..and the stage 3 pcm with a 50 shot..the header and exhaust couldn't hurt either but have it tuned before you run all this.. i feel you should beat him in the end.

i think those 20's were the biggest factor aside from having less power. You shouldn't have gotten owned per say with smaller wheels but you still would have lost. I would also like to know by how much you lost the race.

it was a long winded issue that led him to be banned. I think he had upwards in the 1k posts before he was originally banned cant remember the details something about offending people multiple times over a period of time so I guess something like being a troll

the guy i know who is running the same jackson kit at 8lbs is demolishing everything up at the local scene, srt4s, cobalt ss/sc's, turbo civics, stis, evos, etc. the stis and evos are of course from a roll. but his **** is so quick im jealous.
