I'd take S2K over SRT4 any day of the day, mainly because I like RWD cars and my subjective opinion is that the S2K looks hell of lot better than the SRT4. Install 4.56 gears and it will really wake up S2K.

agreed but thats fine, like if an srt4 beats me, it's fine. SRT4 owner drives a neon IMO miata drives a very gay car IMO. Everyone buys cars for themselves they don't buy them because of what other people think about them, at least they shouldn't. Not to mention the amount of time you auto-cross (generously 10%)vs time you drive noramlly (90%).

I would love to have a S2000, but I just dont see the potential in that car that came highly tuned from the factory.

The S2000 is a track monster. They were so good in auto-x that they were moved from B Stock to A Stock. You would figure that the S2000 would have some issues competing with the STI and EVO, not so much; most of the top A stock cars this past year were S2000's.

If someone is trying to race you in an S2000, RX-8, or Miata they are freaking tool boxes! These cars are made for the twisties, and not the straits.

A stock s2000 is still faster than a stock ss/sc in a straight line. If you sidestep the clutch at 8k after burning the crap out of your tires and shift perfectly you can break 14s stock. I saw a guy run a 13.79 and I ran a 13.89 in mine the same day at IRP. Good track prep that day. I consistently ran 14.10-14.30s on Tuesday nights with crappy track prep.

Oh and Miatas are so fun on an autox course you forget how gay they look. Awesome fun daily drivers too.

This video demonstrates EXACTLY what I'm talking about. That car would spank the heck out of most cars we consider FAST. A lot of people around here criticize Honda, but the brilliance of their company really shines in that video.

For the price I’m not sure that there’s a better roadster. However, this car is not made to drag, so if your racing Honda owners is S2000's they are clueless.

It still won't be what the s2k is when it comes to handling.

You can argue it, but I seriously doubt it.

I thought you meant the S2000 was ugly. Stock for stock in a straight line SRT-4s and S2000 are a drivers race slight advantage to the Dodge. In the twisties S2000 all day.

I like the S2k, I respect it as a race car, especially after seing that video...damn. What mods can be done on the SS/SC that would get it to that level of handling?

Nothing at the moment in my opinion. It could be done but not with the current aftermarket.
