haah yes he was racing. i even started in 3rd gear at 40 the one time and still one hahah. fwd cars blow from a dig. but i would have smoked him from a dig too. it wouldnt have made a difference

I get really ******* sick of seeing every other reply to video posts bitch about roll racing.
When it comes to street racing rolls are the usual. Rolls show which car pulls harder. A dig is a good indicator of launch ability and the driver. A real race includes both turns left and right yet people don't go around bashing on drag races consistently.
The 3rd gear 40 hit was pretty funny...

i know what you mean man. I went up against a civic si couple weeks ago, wasnt even side by side, it was on a on-ramp leading onto the highway and he was in front. Was in 2nd gear hovering at 4k and past him half way through 3rd. Its amazing that all civic owners can think they can still beat the cobalts. I know there is the odd one that can but mostly all of them are a joke. I'm not dissing civics either because i like the looks of the new ones but i just dont like the cocky ***** that drive them. Good kill!

nice vid whoever made it was a master of their craft...... (shifty eyes) lol yeah i thought the run when you started in 3rd gear was so funny that when it happened i think you can hear what i said on the vid lol
i ran a turbo one.... 4 door with 3 passengers all giving me a thumbs down..... i ******* destoryed it..... they got off the main road after that lol

Its funny how they are all cocky before or during the race but soon as they loose they take off running with their tails between their legs.

Well from my experience it's a close race. My friend's stock Si kept up just fine with a stock SS/SC. The Cobalt put about a foot on us at most. This was from 2nd gear all the way up to about 110ish. Then once we did a full exhaust on the car we ran a guy we know who has a SS/SC that's stock and we put a half a car on it. Yes he's a good driver. When it comes to handling however, the SS/SC feels like a pig compared to the Si. I hate the FBW throttle system on the Sis though...uugh.

There was a passenger in the car for both runs. Neither Cobalts had passengers.
