when spec for spec and dollar for dollar are added when comparing a cobalt SS/TC vs a Civic SI for performance purposes only.........the cobalt wins everytime that is fact......when u go into mod vs mod well then it comes down to who has the biggest piggy bank

I'm defending the cars that you have no idea about what they can really do. You call a car that is a threat "flat slow" so if that's the case you do realize that a Cobalt SS/SC is flat slow too then. They aren't far AT ALL from eachother. If a SS/SC is going to "RAPE" a Si, then more than likely the Si driver is a terrible one, or there is something wrong with the car.

hahaha thats because the cobalt SS/SC and SS/TC is a superior car to the Civic Si both in the 1/4 and twisties. I love how you came in to this site to try and prove the Si is a fast car. The Cobalt SS/SC is capable of very high 13's stock if it could get traction and get the 60' times down. You don't have traction issues due to your lack of torque so i can see how some stock Si's with a good driver could pull a 14.5 (at the very BEST) in the 1/4 mile. I have yet to have a Civic Si come close to beating me and that was when i was stock. sure there are some fast ones out there, but in the end the Si is more in the league of the 2.4 N/A SS and Sport models sorry. Most stock Si's i have seen run 14.9-15.3 in the 1/4. Most stock SS/SC's i have seen run 14.4-14.6 in the 1/4.

guys not gonna lie its gettin old........

very simple: when comparing a stock cobalt ss/tc to a stock civic ci

1) It has way better performance
2) They are cheaper then an SI

therefore, the 'balt is a better deal and a better machine

these are facts so how can you argue them?

No. I'm not. The SS/TC is a quicker car with ALOT more power and torque than the Civic Si. I want to see what the Mugen RR Civic would do against it.

omfg just did a little google searchin. . . 38K you'd be smokin the finest crack to pay that much for a fucken Civic!

For that price you could buy a new Camaro, or a G8 holy shitballs!

and all i saw in the brief second i looked was a 4 door, but it weighed 2800lbs! thats a fat ass pig for a honda and with only 240hp. . . well yea no thanks.

Hey it's Mugen...$$$$ It's going to be pricey. You still see ITRs going for almost $20K. There were only 300 RRs made. All in all, it's a VERY impressive car for a sedan. Not to mention 240bhp out of a NA 2.2 from the factory.

well considering they did 240hp with a 2.0 in the S2000 without mugen i'd say its not very impressive at all. Sure maybe it was when the S2000 came out, but using another .2L's and still only matching that number is mediocure at best.

It's still Impressive. Nobody else is doing that. Everyone else has gone F/I. Plus it's a Civic that is faster all around than the S2000.
