honestly though beefy_si, i know honda's are solid cars that can compete. if i remember correctly they do great in F1 races. they're just rice fodder. you can thank the fast and the furious series and many of our latino brethern for that.

WOW that was stupid (OP). You call that racing, and typical for you kids to do it on a busy street. If you end up wrecked or worse I will post up a LOL then.

I'm sorry? I'm far from a typical Honda guy. I've owned and enjoyed other cars. I just stated that there was a skidpad and slalom test that resulted in a Civic Si overtaking a SS/SC. That's all I said. There was also an all around performance article where the Si won over the GTI. No I will not look for it again. If that makes you mad I don't care. I've driven both cars and with no bias involved I would pick the 8g Si sedan. Sure I like torque, but the Si just felt like a more solid and nimble car. It was just funner to drive.

Well I have to say that the interior of the Civic Si beats the crap out my SS/TC's.....if they had that interior in the Cobalts, our cars would be winning every auto award out there.

What would you rather .... Nice fancy interior or performance ??? The old muscle cars of the day came with hardly any interior options .... they were all about power. I purchased my car for the performance it provided stock, but everyone has their own opinion on whats better

I love the seats in my tc, they are better than the si I drove. The interior gets the job done, and I didnt buy this car for it's luxurious interior anyhow..
As far as the "Your car performs better, but my car has a better looking gauge cluster, so ha!"..... that is pretty lame. Like the VW GTI owner I spoke to who was all giddy about his pic-nic blanket plaid interior....
Mugen civic up here is 42 000 after options and it's no faster than an Si. It will also last a month before someone steals it. Thats double what I paid for my TC... If I paid 42G's for a Civic I would commit myself. Way over valued.

ohh really? funner. . .
and there is only 1 way i car see that happening, my car being 150% a stripper, and said turbo guy running on street tires with atleast 5 bags of 100lb concrete in the rear hatch.

Traded an 07 Si for the SS/TC. I can testify the Si would be raped either from a dig or a rolling start. Not to mention, there are no good tunes for the Si, so even if you roll up on one with F/I, it still doesn't stand a chance. 197 HP/137 Ft lbs is no match for 260/260. Ahhh, torque!!!

Civic owners entertain me... One at the local meet last night with a K20-swapped 03' claimed he'd be making 250whp with just a header and exhaust... Oh, and 500whp with a GT35R and no other supporting mods

haha thanks. and before anyone says im a brand loyal ass hat, i like all types of performance cars, i just cant stand someone spouting off about stupid ****. [beefy]
buahahahahaahahahahahaha! [takes breath] 500whp buahahahahahahahaha! he would have rods in his legs and bearings in his teeth if he tried to make that much power on a stock 4 banger!

I'de have to say the K-series engine is a work of art compared to any 4 cylinder Chevy can build. There are plenty of people on K20.org who have done 500+whp on a stock engine, with beautiful tunes. Once again, you are talking about something you know NOTHING about. So just stop.
